Whoever said that diamonds are a girls best friend.. never owned a dog! I grew up with dogs and have trained and cared for my own throughout my life. While I’ve had small breeds (Toy Poodle, Papillon, Shih Tzu), I’m also comfortable with large, energetic dogs and have house-sat for many over the years. Before moving back to San Diego, I volunteered for years with the SPCA, which gave me experience with all kinds of pets and personalities. I recently had to say goodbye to my senior dog, who lived to 18. While I’m not ready for another dog of my own yet, I really miss having animals around, so being able to spend time with yours is a real joy. I’m active, attentive, and happy to take your dog on long walks or just hang out at home. I work from home and have plenty of flexibility for potty breaks during the day. I’m happy to send photo updates while you're away :)

My house is a calm, secure environment with plenty of space to relax. I make sure doors and gates are closed, toxic items are out of reach, and pets are never left alone for long periods. I truly provide attention, exercise, and companionship according to each pet’s needs so they feel safe and happy while their favorite human is away :)

Julie was great. She cared for our dog for a week while we were out of the country. While we were away, Julie regularly kept us updated and shared photos.
Julie was a perfect companion to Mowgli! She was his sunbathing partner, walking mate and played his favorite nose games with him aka ‘find-it’ having figured out that he is good with his nose. She reported back that he found all the treats in the yard successfully! Anytime he needed attention, she was right there by him and helped him settle down. We love Julie and will definitely have her sit Mowgli again!
So happy with Julie’s care of my dog! Julie has great communication, is very engaged with care, and was so flexible with pick-up/drop-off. I look forward to having her care for my dog again!

Julie was great to work with! Our dog Sage loved hanging out with her, sunbathing in the backyard, and going on nice walks in her neighborhood. Julie had great communication upon booking, as well as during Sage’s stay which was most important to us (text annd picture updates when she eats, walks, naps, plays etc). Good vibes all around.
Julie took great care of our pup Cleo! She sent wonderful updates and Cleo got lots of exercise in her yard and on walks. Cleo seemed totally at ease and comfortable in Julie’s care. We would definitely book with Julie again!

Schedule
I work from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for your pets throughout the day. I take daily walks and enjoy spending time outdoors, so I’m happy to take dogs on long walks or short potty breaks as needed.

- It’s helpful to know about likes and dislikes, any medical needs or medications, and any special accommodations they might require. Knowing how they behave around other pets, people, or new environments also helps me make sure they stay safe.
