My dogs are great hosts! I do have a day job which is fortunately pretty flexible. I telework once or twice a week, and we spend our weekends hanging around the house and getting out for hikes on trails around the area.

My dogs get two walks a day, with a bonus hike on weekends. We also do two meals a day; I separate our visiting dogs during meals so nobody is thieving or resource guarding. The back door is usually open for free access to the fenced yard when I am home. I can easily set up a crate if that’s your pup’s preference, and they are welcome to make themselves at home on the various floor mats, furniture, and my bed.

Please let me know about particular behaviors or medical needs your dog might have. I am trained to handle most and want to be prepared. Please also be sure your dog is up to date on flea and tick prevention. My guys have the dog flu vaccine as a safeguard.
A typical day
We’ll go for walks twice a day, and hikes on weekends (or we can lay around the house too). My dogs love to wrestle and chase and we have lots of toys for chewing, squeaking, and tugging. Plus snuffle mats, kongs, and other puzzle toys to keep those active dog brains busy!

Pet care experience
We are eager to welcome your pup(s) to our home! I have a cozy bungalow with a huge fenced backyard--it’s doggo camp! And two happy hounds who love guests! When you board with us, there are lots of walks and opportunities for zoomies and sniffaris...plus so much napping. I’ve had dogs my entire adult life, and also volunteer and foster with animal rescues. I am trained in dog, cat, and small animal handling, as well as assistance in the surgery suite. I also have guinea pigs, chinchillas, and fish at home. I can provide medical care, including injections and subQ.
Reviews

Julie was so great! We were looking for a sitter very last-minute as an alternative to boarding for our senior dog. Julie was able to fit us in and get up-to-date on Roscoe’s medication within a few days. He had a much better time there than he ever could’ve had at a boarding facility! We will definitely be using Julie again.

My dog Finn stayed with Julie for two weeks while I was out of the country. Julie took great care of him and handled one reactivity incident (Finn can get territorial) very well and worked with me to find solutions to safely manage his reactivity. Knowing he was in great hands was a huge relief and gave me the peace of mind to enjoy my vacation!

Our pups love Julie and it’s clear the feeling is mutual! She’s always communicative and reliable. We’re grateful to have her!

Zara enjoyed her stay with Julie. Julie was friendly and communicative and sent us updates . As a puppy she can be a playful but Julie was easy going and Zara enjoyed socializing with Julie’s dogs and spending time in the backyard. She was pooped after her stay. I recommend her and We’ll be using Julie to sit for us in the future.
