I am currently retired and love to be outside. I have plenty of time for play, walks and sitting in the swing scratching a head...or butt. Lots of toys and plenty of space for independent play and adventures.

Our home and the cottage sit in our 3+ acre fenced lot. The Canine Cottage has a mini-split that keeps it comfortable in the summer and winter. Each suite in the cottage has a doggy bed, elevated feeding/watering and a pet door that leads to a large (approx 30ft long) outdoor fenced run. Each outdoor run has a deck for our guests and artificial grass on about half of the run. Our guests can stay in their suite at night or sleep under the stars on their deck. During the day they can play in the 3 acre fenced area while supervised. We do have a pool with a beach entry that is a great place to cool down after a run around the property. I will always provide supervised separate feedings unless I have dogs from the same home that can be fed together. I have cameras in each dog’s suite and outdoor run so you can view your pup while your away. If your dog likes to walk, we can head out of the fenced area (on a leash) and walk to our stream and around the rest of the property. Lots to smell!!! Plenty to investigate!! Seniors are always special to me and the cottage is a great place for them. With only four suites, it has a home like feeling in a quieter more relaxed environment. My goal is to provide your pup with a safe, fun environment where he/she will enjoy their stay. By accomplishing that goal, I hope to lessen the stress on you that you may encounter when you can’t bring your four leg family member with you. I have experience in administrating medicines including shots. I do apply a kennel flea/tick spray to the outdoor run area. All bedding is washed as necessary and every suite is sanitized after a stay. Monthly flea and tick prevention is highly suggested due to your pet being allowed to walk/ run in the 3+ acre area.

All suites have been upgraded to the 5ft 2x4 fencing and have buried fencing around the perimeter to prevent digging out. There is a sun shade over the south facing runs. All doggie doors have been upgraded to doors that provide a better barrier to the heat during the summer and chill during the winter. Additional dog pricing of $20 is only for dogs that stay in the same suite. If your dogs are large/giant and require two suites then the pricing is $40 per dog.
A typical day
We have approximately 17 acres. The front 3-4 is fenced. The back 13-14 is wooded with ATV trails. We have a flowing stream that our dogs love to visit and 'rescue' the many sticks that find themselves thrown into the stream. If you prefer your canine not to get in the water, we can bypass that and walk the trails and they can 'read the paper' at leisure.

Canine Cottage in Fenced 3 Acres

I spent 8 years working with the best partner in the world; a canine. After 20 years in law enforcement I am excited to pursue my dream of building a cottage for canines where I can provide a safe and fun environment for guests and fosters. We have always had a dog or two at home with us and while traveling around the country living in our motor home. Our friends have been known to bring their furry family members with them to our pet friendly home while visiting for a day or weekend. The canine cottage is best suited for medium to large dogs. Small dogs will be considered but a meet and greet is necessary. A photo of vaccination records will be required.

Julie is AWESOME! We were hesitant leaving our Belgian Mallinios/Border Collie mix with just anyone. Julie went above and beyond to have our pup feel at home and comfortable. She sent plenty of updates and communicated very throughly. We will definitely use her again and recommend her with others.
