Hi there! I am a Canadian living in Florence and I would be honoured to care for your furry family members! I am a huge animal lover having grown up with both cats and dogs all my life. I have over 25 years of experience including caring for senior & special needs animals, complex medical cases and administering medication including dialysis. Since I moved away from home I miss my family fur babies terribly and will treat your beloved pets as if they were my own. They can expect lots of love and cuddles and you can expect lots of cute photos! My background is in marketing and communications however since moving to Italy I’ve decided to focus on my passion for working with animals! This is not a side gig for me - it’s my primary job and I take it very seriously. My schedule is very flexible and caring for your pets will always be my first priority. If your pet is staying with me, my home is their home. I know it can be stressful leaving your beloved family members with a sitter so please reach out so we can discuss your needs. Let me put you at ease so you know that after my time with your pet you will return to a happy & healthy fur baby! I am located in the city centre of Florence and live in a first floor apartment with my best friend and fellow animal lover & pet sitter, Daniela. If your pet has separation anxiety and is not able to be left alone we are able to coordinate schedules to accommodate their needs. I am available for walking, in-home pet sitting (Tuscany/Umbria & surrounding areas), boarding in my home, cat visits or any form of pet care. I have the right to work in Italy. Julie was very friendly with us and Vesper. Our Little Dog looked very happy after we came back, he found a new friend and play compagnon! Thanks again Julie it was very helpful and we felt totally secured!
My husband and I were traveling to Florence and had to request daycare last minute, and Julie was an absolute lifesaver. She was incredibly communicative from the start warm, friendly, and clearly experienced with dogs. She made the whole process feel easy and stress free. Throughout the day, she kept us updated with plenty of photos and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Julie truly went above and beyond, and we would absolutely trust her again. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter.
I can truly highly recommend Julie as a dog sitter! It felt great from the very first moment when I dropped off my little boy – Julie immediately gave a sense of experience and trust. She is incredibly loving and knowledgeable when it comes to dogs, and you can really tell that she genuinely cares. Honestly, my puppy has never had it this good with any other dog sitter before. I felt completely at ease the whole time, which means everything when you leave your four-legged family member in someone else’s care. Julie was also wonderful at sending photos and updates throughout the entire stay, which allowed me to fully relax. I will absolutely be using her again – many times! Our slightly difficult old dog immediately took to Julie and we felt very comfortable leaving him with her. She also took the time to find out his needs beforehand which made me confident she knows how to look after dogs. Will definitely leave Sidney with Julie again.
Julie was fantastic! Eugene had a great time with her and she kept me updated with pictures and videos throughout his stay. Couldn’t recommend more highly!

I am working remotely with a VERY flexible schedule. Caring for your pets will always be my first priority. I am also available on short notice when possible!

I will ensure open communication between myself and my pet parent so I understand the pets individual requirements. I never let a pet off leash or interact with pets I am not familiar with. Doors and windows always stay closed and locked. Food and dangerous items are never accessible to pets in my home. Your pet will have access to lots of fun and interactive toys and activities in my home!

If your pup is active they can expect lots of walks around the city and to parks! For cats, senior pups or pets who have limited mobility, we will work within their abilities, limits and needs - that could include playing with toys in the home, enrichment activities like treat puzzles and snuffle mats or simply snuggling up together.
