I am a licensed Real Estate Agent and, since I work from home, I have a very flexible schedule. I also have a 20-yr old son that still lives with me while attending ODU as a full-time student and would be here in the event I need to step out for an appointment or run an errand.

Safety, trust & environment
I understand that, like people, dogs come with a variety of personalities, needs, silly quirks and even fussy preferences. With that being said, my approach to caring for any animal would be handled in a manner that makes them feel most comfortable and at ease. Of course, I rely first and foremost on any information from the owner(s) that they feel would be relevant, but I've found that, if you know how to "listen", dogs are pretty good at letting you know what they need. I would describe my home as generally "low-key". My three kids are grown, with only the last still living at home while attending ODU as a full-time student, and I watch my 3-yr old grandson a couple of days a week (who lives with a 170lb dog at his own home, so no issues there :-). While regular walks would be provided for dogs who welcome the activity, my backyard also has a full privacy fence for the ones who prefer to go out and just take it easy.

Information Julie C. would like to know about your pet
Let me know what a typical day looks like for your dog... Are there certain things he likes to do? Is he allowed on the furniture at home? Does he take his food a certain way? **Most importantly** (since I do occasionally have a 3-yr. old in the house) - Is your dog good with kids? He, himself, has BIG dogs at home, and is therefore very accustomed to having dogs around, but if your dog is not good with children, this would need to be taken into consideration when scheduling so that they're not both here at the same time.
A typical day
One of the great things about where I live is the number of parks that are close by that have lots of trails and wide open spaces for a dog to explore. Many of the trails are shaded, so they wouldn't get overheated on hot, sunny days, or on days when we prefer to stay close by, the streets in my neighborhood all have sidewalks to keep them save (or we can just play fetch in the backyard!)

“It was me. I let the dogs out.”
Pet care experience
To quote Nora Roberts, “Everything I know, I learned from dogs”. Having grown up with dogs throughout my entire life, I have a deep understanding that their place in our lives is nothing to be taken for granted. They are worthy of nothing less than the same unconditional love, patience, attention and loyalty that they instinctively provide on their own, while expecting nothing in return.
Reviews

Great Sitter, my dog did not want to come home. Will be working with Julie again, I am very happy with there services.

Julie was awesome with my dog Bear! He has a lot of lab energy and she handled it so well with lots of playtime.

Julie did a great job with both of our dogs. One has special diet/needs and both dogs came back looking great and with giant smiles. Julie also had great communication before, during, and after the stay. We would happily utilize her services again!

Julie takes great care of our daughter's puppy, Violet. We request Julie anytime we have travel plans. Thank you!
