I have been an animal lover all my life and have many years of personal experience caring for both dogs and cats. As someone who has used Rover for my own pets, I understand how important it is to find somebody you can genuinely trust with a much-loved member of your family. I recently lost my beloved dog, Aspen, to congestive heart failure shortly before her 12th birthday. Aspen and my other dog, Jetson, had been together since they were puppies. I am not ready to welcome another dog of my own just yet, but I would love to open my home to other pets, giving them a safe, comfortable and loving home from home while also providing some gentle companionship for Jetson, who misses Aspen greatly. Jetson is almost 12 years old, and I also have a 15-year-old cat who is comfortable around dogs. Because of my experience with older pets and Aspen’s heart condition, I understand the importance of patience, close observation, established routines and giving medication exactly as instructed. I am particularly comfortable caring for senior pets and providing the calm, reassuring environment they may need. I work from home, so your pet will have plenty of company, attention and regular access to our fully enclosed garden throughout the day. I only accept pets from one family at a time and will never board or care for another client’s pets during your booking. This means your pet will receive my full attention without unfamiliar visiting animals coming and going. Pets staying with me will be treated as part of the family and given plenty of affection, reassurance and companionship. In my home, pets are welcome to relax on the sofas and sleep on the beds if that is what they are accustomed to. However, I will always follow your household rules so that your pet’s routine remains consistent. Please let me know about any boundaries, habits or special requirements. I will carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, walks, medication, toilet breaks and sleeping arrangements. Every animal has their own personality, so I am happy to arrange a meet and greet beforehand to ensure that your pet is comfortable with me, Jetson and my cat. I will also send regular photographs and updates so you can relax knowing that your pet is safe, settled and receiving lots of love. As well as home boarding, I am available for house sitting, drop-in visits and dog walking. Whether your pet is playful and energetic, older and in need of a gentler pace, or simply happiest with cuddles and company, I will care for them as lovingly and responsibly as I would my own.
