Scheduling: I do not work outside of pet care (Besides the occasional DoorDash) so I'm very flexible with scheduling. When I board/daycare that is my main focus. I make it a priority to make sure their needs are met and they're having a blast on their vacation. I am flexible with walks and any other services as well.

How do I care for pets in a client's home? - However they want me to! Whatever it is you need for your pet, I am there to do it. (Within reason of course.) I am aware I'm in your home; I'm in your dog's home, and that's a big thing. Any routine the dog may have, I can do it just like mom/dad. Keeping his normal routine could help him with any separation anxiety he may feel. In between those times we go have fun on our own vacation! Whatever that fun looks like to your dog - long walks, trips to the beach, the park, a pup-cup at Starbucks, or napping all day. How do I care for pets in my home? -Like family! I live in a ranch style home in a quiet, safe neighborhood with a fully fenced in backyard. It's me and my dog Max, the friendly loveable Chocolate Lab, and two tabby cats, Yoshi and Whiskers. Any dog that comes in here just instantly seems to become part of the family. I like to think of my house as a little pet resort. I do not work outside of Rover, and I do not accept more than one boarding dog at a time (unless there is a brother or sister coming along - or a pre-arranged meeting to make sure they'll get along). My dog Max honestly feels like my little assistant sometimes. He is incredibly well behaved and loves to entertain his friends! My goal is for your dog to enjoy himself, have fun, wear himself out and sleep like a baby with a smile on his face. I could take your dog to the park, hiking trails, the beach, a walk in the neighborhood, or we could simply hang out at home & relax. Whatever their needs are, I work for them. Spending time with animals is my passion and hobby first, a paying job second. Your babies will be in great hands, and I encourage you to visit my place before any boarding occurs, so owner & doggie are equally 100% comfortable with everything.

Information Julie B. would like to know about your pet
-Make sure rabies is up to date. -Emergency contacts and vet information. -I like to suggest to new boarding clients that they call their vet and let them know they will be out of town; have a card on file in case of an emergency. I do not expect any problems, but it might give peace of mind. -Any medication and medical illnesses. -Make sure the dog is good with cats if boarding/daycare. -Anything from diet to aggression issues, anxiety issues, likes and dislikes, etc. If boarding I have a little questionnaire about this info that I like to get from the client. **My profile says I cannot administer injected medication - I have never had a situation where I needed to that. If this is something you need and can show me, I am not opposed to doing so.**
A typical day
A typical day - If I am boarding or doing daycare I like to think of my place as a little vacation for your dog. My goal is to make sure s/he’s happy & safe & having fun. We could go to the beach and run, walk down some hiking trails, go to the park and even take a swim if they’d like. If it's car rides he loves, let's go for a ride. A little snuggler that loves to curl up with a good book? On the couch or in the sunshine? That's happening. I have a fenced in yard with room to play fetch & run around with my dog. I'll incorporate the dog's regular routine into our day - same feeding times, same sleeping times, etc. to give them a sense of normalcy.

Pets
Life is great. Dogs make it better.
Pet care experience
Experience: I have been around dogs my whole life; from my childhood lab, to my special needs rescue pug, to my current chocolate lab goofball, who loves to make new friends! I often feel that I am better with dogs than I am with humans. I am certified by the American Red Cross in dog and cat First Aid. I am very experienced with doggie diapers, puppy pads, frequent bathroom breaks and administering medication. Also experienced with deaf & blind dogs, arthritic, and special needs seniors. I’m also good with little velcro dogs that might need a bit more attention than most.

Reviews

I would recommend Julie for dog boarding she was very professional and can tell right off she’s an animal person. My dog Mowgli is a rescue with aggressive anxiety and touch sensitive he is known to bite. Julie took him on with no hesitation because, of her experience with dogs with all different temperaments. Needless to say I would use Julie in the future in fact I have booked a 10 day stay in March. I would like to add Julie is very accommodating because, I called her for boarding with short notice and she fit me into her schedule.
Sookie has had a great time staying with Julie twice now, we met her through a mutual friend which was important to us because we are very picky about who watches our girl. Max is an awesome ambassador too, such a friendly and gentle dog for her to play and hang out with. Sookie loves zooming around in the fenced in yard, and she even got to play in a freshly filled doggie pool when it was hot out, which is one of her favorite things to do. Julie is always super responsive, sends lots of fun pictures and videos of the day's adventures, and even sent us home with homemade dog treats. Sookie gives her time there two paws up! :)
Julie was a huge help when I was away a weekend. My 5 year old chihuahua gets anxious so it was helpful that I could keep her home and know she would get attention and checkins throughout the weekend. Appreciated the pictures, updates and last minute help. Look forward to using Julie many more times.
Brixton absolutely LOVES when she gets to stay with Julie. Julie is very attentive to Brixton's specific needs (for example limiting outdoor playtime in hot weather) and Brixton has lots of great adventures (ball time in the backyard, walks on the beach!). Julie does a great job communicating with daily updates and lots of pictures!! Her dog Max is the sweetest and is so careful when he plays with Brixton! Brixton can't wait until she can stay with Julie and Max again!!!
