My husband and I believe a good husky is a tired husky - and we guess it works for every kind of dog. So we make sure our dog has enough active time, fun with humans, socialization with other dogs, time to smell everywhere, nice grat-grat massages and also try to make him resolve problems (how to catch the treat into something, feeling he has to "hunt" the treat). We'll do the same with your dog. With my husband, we try to walk, play at the dog park, run or bike with my dog 2 to 3 hours a day. We commit doing the same with your dog as if he was ours: fun time, mind and physical activities, safe rest also and a lot of love. Our dog is a bit grumpy, not aggressive but he needs his bubble... so not a good fit with puppy energy unfortunately!

Our dog Blizzard had such a great time staying with Julie. They took him for several runs, bike rides, and trips to the dog park and we came home to a very tired pup which is always great! Blizzard also enjoyed playing with her husky Wapta. Julie is very responsive and sent us a lot of funny photos while we were out of town which gave us total peace of mind. We will definitely be using Julie in the future!

We left our beloved Boxer with Julie over the weekend while we attended a wedding. It was our first time using this service and we are very impressed! Julie sent us picture updates regularly and took our dog on walks every day she had her (3 days, 2 nights). Now she's home and completely tuckered out. We would defintely recommend Julie to anyone looking for a great dog sitter!

Julie was great with my dog Kelso. I got many photos and it was easy to tell Kelso was having a blast. Thanks!

Schedule

With the experience, we realized that we prefer to host just one pet at the time (+ our dog). Occasionally, we can increase for the weekend.

Non-smoking household
Has 1 dog, has cats
Children 0-5 years old

Safety, trust & environment

The garden is fenced, but most of the dogs just follow us in the house, and specially appreciate the office's sofa (pet friendly) to watch me working! We try to save the living room sofa free of fur and mud, not always a success. We are used to bring our dog(s) where ever we are going, they live our family life as a member!

A typical day

On weekdays, we always start the day by a morning walk, mostly at Dakota Ridge, for about 1h hiking (off leash trained dogs are the happiest there). Sometimes, depending on the dog we host, weather and our schedule, my husband enjoy a bike ride with the dogs, to let all the extra energy out. Then, when cooled down, feeding and relax inside or outside. If weather cooperate, we take an outside break at lunch. Then we go out again after work, for dog park, hike, walk, play, whatever !
