A Keys Doggie Day Camp!
I manage a very personalized doggie day camp, boarding & pet sitting business, BTA Big Dogs -- named for our "Behind The Airport" neighborhood. We've fostered and/or adopted dozens of large-breed dogs as respite or hospice comfort from crowded animal shelters. Former Florida Keys SPCA board member. Active foster for FKSPCA and MarrVelous Pet Rescue. Insured through Pet Sitters Associates. We customize your dog’s stay, providing fun and exercise, not training. We have two Lab mixes of our own, each rescues, and they are LOVING the socialization of new day campers and four-legged friendships. We offer a large, safely fenced yard with ample room for exercise and play with other dogs, toys, doggie pools, healthy treats and hydration. If a crate/kennel is needed, we can provide, and offer a detached den that serves as a comfy, "private" slumber room with A/C and separate entrance/exit. We encourage our pet parents to visit and see our setup, inside and out. We are not here to train your dog, we are here to provide playful fun with other pups. Half day (up to 4 hours) and full day (up to 8 hours) day camp, and overnight boarding available.

Excellent experience with Julie. I needed a day camp for my two cardigans while I went to Key West for the day. They had a great time. Julie sent photos and communicated through the day with photos. We were able to meet and greet the day before which helped dogs and me both! Thanks for an stress-free experience.

Julie was great with our 2 pups. Both of our dogs were somewhat timid in our vacation rental, but Julie came walked, played with them and even managed to get them to eat. We were worried about leaving them in unfamiliar surroundings, but she eased all of our fears with good communication and even some photos. She was fantastic for our family.

So kind to both us and my little girl. My baby was allowed to smell and get to know the grounds before we left her. She was comfortable and relaxed when we left, and came home happy and tired. What a wonderful experience!

Schedule
I am home full-time, so dogs are closely supervised. We are NOT dog trainers. Our doggie camp is for fun, social play, not training exercises.

Our large corner yard is fenced with signage that dogs run free and gates remain safely closed. Single-level home allows easy in/out access, no stairs.

A typical day
Here, we have nearly 10,000 square feet of fenced (6 and 4 feet) and gated outdoor space for active playtime, fetch, exercise or shade-napping. We have a quiet, safe neighborhood.
