I am active, healthy, positive and loving. I love dogs and cats. I cannot imagine a life without them. I have had dogs and cats all of my life in every place where I have lived: Alaska, Eastern Washington and Seattle. I have cared for pets at all stages of their lives, from puppies and kittens to older, senior dogs and cats. My own beloved yellow lab, Izzy, died at age 14 and I cared for her to the end of her wonderful, long life. I am currently caring for a diabetic cat who gets insult with his meals, twice each day. I started seriously pet setting after I retired from 40 years of teaching I I provide quality care based on knowledge and experience so that owners know their pets and home are safe and lovingly cared for in their absence. Julianne is friendly and caring, and took great care of my greyhound for the day so I could attend an event in Kingston. I appreciated how flexible Julianne was with my (ferry-dependent) schedule. Her home is close to the park, so I know my pup enjoyed her walks. I'd be happy for Gia to stay with Julianne again anytime!

Julianne took good care of my dog and house for four days. Everything was in good shape when I got home and my dog was happy!
Julianne was a great house sitter / pet sitter for our kitty. She cared for him during a nearly 3 week vacation in May 2024. She stayed in communication with us throughout the trip and always gave me a sense that our cat was cared for with affection and love. Took great care of our house and yard which doesn’t require a whole lot but was a comfort while we were away. I especially appreciated that Julianne is retired and could really spend most of her time here. Highly recommended!

Schedule
For dogs, and cats I provide care at your home. I am a writer and. retired so my schedule is flexible depending on you and your pet's needs. I prefer to stay in your home with you cat because they are happier in their own territory. I can also care for your dog in hig/her home or bring your dog to my condo. We have a large fenced property with safe trails and are located next door to a Bittrlake park.

I will walk with your dog, play fetch, snuggle and give lots of ear and tummy rubs. I know that your pet will be most comfortable in their safe, familiar environment. Even though I helped start Magnuson Off Leash area, I prefer not to take dogs to the dog park where they can meet with aggressive dogs.
A typical day
I will walk your dog, play fetch and catch, provide lots of tummy and ear rubs. I have lot of experience caring for dogs. I am calm and reassuring for your pet as he/she adjust to a new person. I will spend time with your cat in whatever way he/she likes. Many love being groomed and/or petted. Others prefer being left alone!
