Please note - I will be leaving the Portsmouth area, September 1, but will be back occasionally on weekends/long weekends/holidays if care is needed! I am currently in graduate school for social work and recently moved to NH this past fall! I did Rover for 3 years consistently in the Portland area and would like to continue it now. My current schedule is extremely flexible as I do not have another part time job.

I treat your dogs/cats just like I would if they were my own! I would provide daily walks and treats as recommended by the owner. I want the pup to be as comfortable as possible, so sticking to their normal routine is necessary! I can crate a dog when needed if leaving my apartment or your home and always come back within a time that they are comfortable with! I will always try to rearrange my schedule so I can spend as much time with your pet as possible (dine-in or snuggle with them on the couch for a movie at night, etc.)!
Information Julianne S. would like to know about your pet
I have no preference for breed! I would like to know if your dog has separation anxiety or any particular needs ahead of time. If your dog or cat has any special needs or accommodations I would definitely like to know that. If you prefer that I stay in with your fur baby while sitting, I would also like to have that as a heads-up so I can rearrange my schedule. Lastly, although I am a strong individual, I am only 5' so if your large dog tugs or pulls or is more assertive than others, let's talk about it! -Any triggers (bicycles, other dogs, loud noises) -Emergency and non emergency vet information -Any key words your pet knows that might be helpful such as “heel” or “wait” -How to access your pet if you are not going to be home (door codes, location of spare key, etc.) -Medications/supplements -Emergency contact should you not be reachable
A typical day
I live in a very dog-friendly area so there is much to do! I like going down to get a coffee with pups and walking around trails! I love to snuggle and watch tv with dogs as well as play outside or even have a go at tug-of-war! When sitting in your house, I will always take them around a recommended spot and play their favorite games!

Pets
Hi! I am a puppy-loving, extrovert!
Pet care experience
I have always had a dog in my family home and bond well with new animals! I have supported crate and puppy training 3 times in my life with my own dogs. I have experience with all animals and have compassion for everything! I love the outdoors and the ocean so all and any pets are welcome! I have experience in walking, training, feeding, and snuggling all fur babies! I am able to lift and take out of crates as well as give yummy treats.

Reviews

Julianne was professional and competent. She asked all the right questions and had clear and frequent communication with us. We had no hesitations having her watch our pups for a weekend.

Julianne was so great and made it easy to leave Clyde at home - she was professional and so patient with him during our meet and greet. Each photo I received of him I could tell he was so happy to see her and was in good hands. Thank you Julianne!

Julianne is great. Our pup loves her. I would definitely recommend her.

Julianne was absolutely incredible with my dog, Lily, during a very challenging house-sitting stay while I was out of town. Lily struggles with separation anxiety and can be extremely slow to warm up to new people, and the first couple of days were honestly tough. Julianne handled everything with so much patience, compassion, calmness, and professionalism. She stayed in constant communication with me, provided thoughtful updates, problem-solved creatively, collaborated with neighbors Lily trusted, adjusted her approach based on Lily’s comfort level, and never once made me feel like Lily was ‘too much.’ Even through some anxious/reactive moments, she remained patient, understanding, and committed to helping Lily feel safe and secure. By the end of the stay, Lily was cuddling with her, walking with her, and happily spending time together. That turnaround says everything. Julianne genuinely cares about animals and goes far above and beyond what most sitters would do. I would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her, especially for anxious or more complicated dogs.
