I work part-time. 4 hours each on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. If you're looking to book for house sitting, I need to know your pet is comfortable staying alone for 4 - 5 hours. This will be discussed before the booking. I am available from 4pm on Monday, Tuesday and Friday and available before 3pm on Saturdays.

I would firstly make sure that I've met your pet prior to properly looking after them, this is so that I could ensure that me and your pet gets along and also for your pet to be more comfortable around me for when you have to leave. This helps reduce any anxiety that your pet might be feeling and will also help them feel more safe. This also helps to reduce any unexpected situations. Moreover, I would ensure that you write down any instructions/rules I should know before looking after your pet so that I am able to meet you and your pets' needs the best I can. Also I would make sure that I know the Vet that your pet attends, in case of an emergency. I will also listen to any concerns that you may have and help address them.

Let me know the dog’s usual time schedule for walks, food and potty breaks. Also let me know if there’s certain behaviours I need to be aware of and If the dog has special needs or requires medication. It would also be good to know if the dog is okay with being with other dogs or behave differently depending on the type of dog and if they are okay being in a car/public transport like buses (if i decide to take them to a dog cafe, I would tell you before hand)
A typical day
I would start off by making sure I’ve read through any certain rules that I need to be aware of and also ensure I check the dog’s usual time schedule for food and walks and to keep to it the best I can so the dog feels comfortable and content. I'll also ask for local parks and areas your dog is familiar with and enjoy so I can take them there. I also like to switch it up sometimes by taking them to a dog cafe or a different park with the owner's permission of course. I like to end my bookings with a little doggy report card and occasionally a digital doodle of your pet.

Pet care experience
I've been around dogs since forever. I grew up in a family that has always had dogs so I've always been used to having furry friends by my side. When my family moved to England, my dad became a dog walker and sitter so since the age of 10, I've been helping my dad out with all the different breeds of dogs he would bring home. I loved it. As I grew older, I would begin to walk them, look after them and even stay over nights in clients' homes when my dad wasn't able to. This has let me gain the experience of having my own clients and understanding and respecting the instructions or rules that were given to me, relating to their pet, which ensured that I am catering the needs of the client and their pets the best I can. I've looked after cats and dogs while studying at University and now it's something I want to get back into now that I've graduated and working part-time.
