I am actively working as a veterinary assistant trained as a vet tech for the past 7 years. I previously worked in a pet rehabilitation facility where we helped pets recover from major surgery. I also completed a professional dog trainer certification through Canine Academy in Milton. I use a positive-reinforcement, reward based gentle approach for pet care and handling. Last year, I attended a workshop to learn low stress patient protocols for veterinary professionals and am fear free certified. I’ve even taught my dog to give consent for nail trims and trim his nails successfully every 2 weeks. I also have previously worked as a dog walker and daycare attendant. Recently I started offering in home nail trims for pets and would love to extend that support to drop in visits, pet sitting & medication/injection administration. I can monitor pets with medical needs closely and want to provide relief to pet parents who need support in any way.
