I am currently a full time student at the university of Vermont. I love spending time with animals and when I am not studying I have a decent amount of free time I can use to help take care of pets! I can spend anywhere from 10 min to 3 hours with a pet depending on the day and the animals needs. I can spend even more if necessary it just really depends on the job that must be done.

When at home I have a friendly dog and a well fenced in area in a safe neighborhood. If I go somewhere else to care for the pet I will make sure to learn and understand any rules and guidelines that have been set. I will also make sure to always be safe on walks by making room between the pet and I and anyone else or any other dogs. I have had training on dog body language and other non verbal communication signals dogs. I have also been trained on how to stop a dog fight and deal with any other complications that might come along with caring for a dog.

A few things that are very important to know about a dog is if they have any aggression towards things like large dogs, wether they are social or not, if they are an anxious type, what they like to do, what you do to help them get their daily exercise, any allergies, any injuries, and any other information the owner thinks is necessary.

With the dogs how I interact and what I do with the dog depends on the dogs preferences and energy level. If it loves cuddles and naps I am always down for cuddles and naps but if it likes to go on adventures and play I am always down for that too! A day in a life with me and a dog you can expect exercise, fun, training if wanted, and pets.

I have lived with dogs since I was 5 years old. I also have been around dogs my whole life. I have some experience in training due to my current dog now. We got him when he was a puppy and I helped my mom and dad train him during Covid 19 when we had nothing else to do. Working with animals is my passion as I am currently an Biology major at the University of Vermont. I Live in Moorhead MN in the summers though. I would love to help pet owners out and make sure their pets have the best and most healthy life. Not only that but I have experience working at a doggy daycare facility where I not only caring for dogs but helped them have a fun time too.
