Pet care experience

Home FullTime for Your Pup 🐾

I’ve been an animal lover and pet owner my entire life, and through Rover and animal shelter volunteering, I’ve gained hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, personalities, and needs. I have experience with puppies, seniors, service animals, special-needs pets, medication administration, and pets who may need a little extra patience while adjusting to a new environment. I volunteered with my local animal shelter from 2016–2019, where I learned how important a calm, patient approach can be when earning an animal’s trust. When your pup stays with me, I want my home to feel like their home away from home — not a kennel. 🏡🐶 They’ll get plenty of potty breaks, outside time, attention, playtime, treats (with your permission!), and of course plenty of couch naps and cuddles. I keep dog beds, toys, treats, gates, and other pet necessities on hand to help make their stay comfortable. Dogs who are used to sleeping close to their humans are welcome to cozy up with me, too. 💕 I’m comfortable following your pet’s normal feeding, potty, medication, sleep, and exercise routine as closely as possible. Every dog is different, so I’m happy to learn their quirks, preferences, and routines before their stay. I keep my boarding numbers small so each guest can receive personalized attention rather than getting lost in a house full of dogs. Whether your pup is outgoing and playful, a professional couch potato, a nervous first-time boarder, or needs a little extra care, my goal is for you to leave knowing they’re being treated like part of the family. 🐾

Julia took great care of our fur babies. Her updates were wonderful and multiple pictures were a joy to receive. She even brought our packages inside! Great communication. We will definitely request her skills again.

Schedule

I currently offer boarding in my home 7 days a week, Sunday–Saturday. I work from home, which means I’m home with my boarding guests throughout the majority of the day. I may occasionally step out for a short period, typically no longer than about 1–1½ hours at a time. My partner, Tre’, is also in the home and can assist with our boarding guests when needed. You’re welcome to meet the people your pet may be around during their stay so you can feel comfortable before booking. Because I’m home so much, your pup can enjoy frequent potty breaks, attention throughout the day, playtime, outside time, and lots of company. No waiting all day for their sitter to come home! 🐶💕

Safety, trust & environment

I know staying somewhere new can be exciting for some dogs and stressful for others, so I let each pet adjust at their own pace. I have multiple pet gates and can create separate areas when needed for feeding, sleeping, decompression, or dogs who simply prefer their own space. Crating is not my default — if your dog is crate-trained and you want their normal crate routine maintained, I’m happy to follow it. I do have children in my home. If your dog prefers space from children, I can keep them separated using gates and different areas of the home. Please let me know about any sensitivities, triggers, resource guarding, escape tendencies, separation anxiety, or other behavioral needs before booking so I can make their stay as safe and comfortable as possible. I’m experienced with oral and injected medications, senior dogs, special-needs dogs, and basic pet first aid/CPR. Most importantly, I care for your pet the way I’d want someone to care for mine — patiently, attentively, and with plenty of love. ❤️🐾

Pets

A typical day

Your pup’s stay will feel more like a little vacation than boarding! 🐾 We’ll start the day with potty time, breakfast, and some fresh air before settling in for playtime, cuddles, or a good couch nap. One of my favorite things to do with my guests is spend time outside by the lake, where they can enjoy the fresh air and watch the ducks and geese. Throughout the day, they’ll get frequent potty breaks, attention, playtime, treats (with your permission!), and plenty of time to relax. Since I work from home, your pup gets lots of company throughout the day rather than spending long periods alone. I’m happy to match their usual routine and energy level — whether I’m hosting a playful pup who wants to stay busy or a professional napper who considers the couch their full-time job. 😂 Evenings are for dinner, another potty break, relaxing with the family, and getting cozy for bedtime. My goal is to make their stay feel as comfortable and familiar as possible. ❤️

I’d love to know everything that helps me make your pet feel at home! 🐾 Please tell me about their normal feeding and potty schedule, personality, energy level, sleeping habits, medications or special needs, and favorite things. For everyone’s safety, please also let me know about any allergies, anxiety, resource guarding, reactivity, escape tendencies, destructive behaviors, or triggers. Because there are children and other pets in my home, I need to know how your pet does around children, dogs, and other animals before their stay. And don’t forget the fun stuff! Tell me their favorite treats, toys, nicknames, weird little habits, and where they prefer to sleep. The more I know about your pet, the better I can keep their routine familiar and make them feel like part of the family. 💕🐶
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
