Hello, I’m Julia! 🐾 I’m in my early-30s, live in Hackney and co-own an audio recording studio based in Dalston. When I'm not cat-sitting, I work as a production freelancer in the film and video industry and am often getting involved in a variety of creative projects. I have always had a cat growing up (lived with 6 fluff-balls at one point!). I adore cats and have been known to be something of a 'cat-whisperer' since I was a child. I am the kind of person who stops by every cat on the street to have a chat with them. :) I am a proud cat-parent of a beautiful and very fluffy 2 year-old ginger boy, Leo! He was raised with lots of affection is now a very clingy and loud kitty who loves people and attention. He is an outdoor/indoor cat, so I am used to looking after the kitties who need a little extra attention and some exercise outdoors. SERVICES❗️ 🔹 I can visit your kitty-cat(s) once, twice or overnight! Min stay 30-40min. 🔹 Happy to do feeding and water changes, litter-cleaning, tidying up after the kitty, administering oral medication and injections with proper instruction, as I have experience looking after cats with special needs. 🔹 I can also collect your mail, accept deliveries, open and close windows/curtains and leave the lights on/off - if requested. 🔹 Your cats are guaranteed playtime, cuddles and personalised approach to every furry Client. I will feed and water your kitty-cat and make sure it has lots of attention, play-time, strokes and treats! 🔹 I understand how much us cat owners can miss our babies when we're away from them, so I will send you daily updates with photos and videos! 📷 ❓ CAN YOU ADMINISTER MEDICATION/INJECTIONS? 🩺 Yes! My family and I have owned and helped street cats our whole lives, and over the years we had to help some poorly kitties, so we’ve experienced a fair share of minor injuries as well as serious illnesses. I used to own an adorable older cat who was diabetic, had brain tumour and serious heart murmur. I adopted him from my ex-landlady who could no longer care for him and his special needs. The cat had a few surgeries, required a strict diet, and 2 daily injections of insulin for a few years years – he passed away at the age of 16, but I know I did everything in my power to prolong his life and make it happy and comfortable. I am comfortable with changing bandages, wound cleaning, administering oral medication and post-op recovery.

I offer drop-in visits and housesitting for cat owners. In caring for pets in a pet owner's home, my top priorities are safety, trust, and maintaining a comfortable environment for both the pets and the homeowners. Here's how I ensure this: Safety First: I take every precaution to ensure the safety of the pets and the home. This includes making sure all doors and windows are securely shut to prevent pets from escaping or encountering any hazards (unless otherwise is specified by the owner.) I will always follow the owner's own rules and guidance. Trustworthy Care: Pet owners can trust that I will treat their home with respect and care. I understand the importance of maintaining a clean and tidy living space, and I will ensure that their home remains in the same condition as when they left it. Hygiene Maintenance: I am diligent about maintaining cleanliness in the home, including regularly changing litter boxes to keep them fresh and odor-free. Additionally, I will ensure that the pet's water bowl/fountain is changed regularly to provide them with clean water. Dietary Adherence: I understand the significance of adhering to a pet's dietary requirements. Whether it's a special diet or specific feeding schedule, I will follow the owner's instructions meticulously to ensure the pet's nutritional needs are met. Clean-up Responsibilities: In the event that a pet makes a mess while in my care, whether it's a spilled bowl of food or an accidental litter scatter, I will promptly clean it up. Maintaining a clean environment is essential for the well-being of both the pet and the home.

Im quite surprised and disappointed. This was our second booking with Julia as she was fab the first time so we didnt mind paying the high charges she had- over £200 for 2 visits a day over the weekend. However, I didnt receive any updates on the cats after requesting multiple times. I asked to let me know when she was there and how the cats were, which she said she would, but then didn't. I then spent my holiday weekend worrying something didnt feel right. We then came home on the final day early, but 3 hours after the cats should have been visited, to find their bowls empty and cat litter tray full. My cat then vomited his food because he had obviously gone too long without eating. When i messaged to find out why, It turns out Julia had lost our keys the night before. However we were not told this and could have come home earlier if we knew as my cat has a sensitive stomach and has a strict feeding schedule. Unfortunately we are now not sure whether the keys were lost the night before we returned or earlier on as it could explain why we received no updates or photos of them after asking and their full cat litter trays. Communication was definitely an issue here on multiple occasions and for the price we paid, I'm very disappointed.
Julia is attentive as a cat care person. She is good with the instructions I leave, come when she's scheduled to, and checks in with me when she's there (sometimes sending photos). She seems to really enjoy being a cat carer!
Julia is really easy to work, treats her role as pet sitter with professionalism, and was great with my cats. I've already got her booked for the next weekend I'm away!

Julia took good care of Camomille during our holidays. She was responsive, reliable, and kindly came before the booking for a meet and greet. She sent regular updates, and the flat was immaculate upon our return. When we came back, Camo smelled faintly of perfume and had a trace of lipstick on her neck - clearly she received lots of love and cuddles! Thank you Julia x

I own my own company and work as a freelancer, so I have a rather flexible schedule. I can prioritise and accommodate pet care responsibilities without much disruption to my work or personal commitments. Whether it's feeding, grooming, or spending quality time with furry companions, I can allocate time throughout most days to ensure their well-being and happiness!
