When I am pet sitting, I always make sure to keep all floors and surfaces clean and decluttered to ensure the safety of the pets. I will also diligently follow the rules established by the home owners regardling cleaning and management of the household. When I am with the pets, I respect their body language and make sure that they are comfortable and safe. When I am walking dogs, I ensure that we do not encounter other pets on our walks if the owners notify me that this could be an issue. I also only walk them on paths that I am familiar with or that the owners recommend.

I will not take care of dogs that cannot respond to commands from people who are not their owner, especially if they are very excitable or prone to biting (as this is dangerous for me and for the dog). Otherwise, I want to know what their temperament is like, how they behave with new people, what commands, tricks, or key words they respond to, and generally what to expect from them and how to handle unexpected behavior if it occurs. Please note: I can do pet sitting at your home but I cannot have pets at my own place.
A typical day
With the pets I've taken care of, I loved playing fetch (even with the cats!), running with them, sitting with them outside, grooming and brushing, petting, snuggling, whatever they enjoy.

I have about 6 months of combined cat sitting experience so far. This has included taking care of all sorts of cats, from young outdoor cats to elderly indoor cats that needed medicine and other special care. Whether they are independent cats that just need someone to fed them and make sure they are okay, or needier cats that wants lots of play time and attention, I am happy to learn and meet the needs of your pets!

Julia was an excellent sitter and I could not recommend her more highly. From the start, communication was clear, fast, and thoughtful. She took real time to understand our cats, Lukas, Liza, and Timon, their routines, and their personalities, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. During the stay, Julia sent regular updates and photos, and it was obvious the cats were relaxed and comfortable with her. When we came back, everything was in perfect order. Lukas, Liza, and Timon were calm, well cared for, and our home was exactly as we left it. Julia is reliable, attentive, and genuinely caring. If you are looking for someone you can fully trust with your pets and your home, she is an outstanding choice.
