I work remotely and am looking to surround myself with furry companions! I make sure to feed the stray outside in the morning, Char-Char has an automatic pet feeder, and at night, I scoop up his poop. It’s become a natural part of my day just like brushing my teeth daily! 🪥

Please let me know if your pet has any special needs / anything that could be a surprise. For example, knowing whether your pets get along with other pets to ensure I’m prepared to handle situations where they’re passing another pet. Or if they have a special feeding schedule, a certain toy they like to play with, or an activity they enjoy. Whatever I need to ensure your pet is in good hands!
A typical day
I love playing fetch with the pets I look over. It’s always so fun to throw a good ol tennis ball and to see the dog get excited to catch it and come right back with the ball. Or with cats, I like to use a toy on the string to entertain them!

Pet care experience
In college, I volunteered with “Continuing the Mission” to train assistant dogs for returning veterans. We guided 6 dogs through exercises to ensure they matched the specific needs of the veteran whom they will be placed with. It was a great way to go outside during the pandemic, be surrounded by adorable companions, and to be able to train them to assist veterans. 🐶 I have pet sat for 17 dogs and 11 cats on Rover, ever since I started in Aug 2023– ranging from watching overnight to drop-in visits and dog walking. Additionally, I have experience watching over my friends’ pets, walking my professors’ dogs around campus when I was in college, and taking care of strays outside of my apartment. 🏡 I currently have an orange cat named Char-Char who I’ve had for 5 years. I make sure to feed him four times a day, play with him to get the zoomies out, and scoop his poop daily. He’s always so cuddly to be around! 🐱

We had an awful situation with being hospitalized over the Christmas period where most our friends and family travel away for the holidays. Julia was responsive, inquisitive friendly and respectful and of course absolutely loves dogs. This was the first situation we had to leave our dog with a stranger but I couldn’t be happier that it was Julia, she listened to feeding instructions well and even spent more time just to keep our dog company, play with him and give him treats while we were being treated in a hospital 50 miles from home. Having Julia’s help with Murphy made our situation easier to handle knowing he was in good hands and I know Murphy would love to see Julia again!

Julia was a wonderful catsitter! She gave detailed reports, was very communicative and proactive, and I came home to a happy kitty :)
