Hi! My name is Julia and I love dogs! I grew up with small dogs, but as an adult, I realized that the big mutts are really more my "type." I've been fostering with local rescues since 2017 and have worked with all types of breeds, sizes, ages, and behaviors. Because I didn't have a dog of my own, I usually took the "tougher" pups, but that doesn't mean I lost my taste for the easier ones! haha I recently "foster failed" with a sweet, gentle pup named Squish, who might even beat me in how much she loves dogs. All dogs-big, small, shy, reactive. Now, Squish and I are on a journey to meet and play with as many pups as possible. She loves to join me on walks, sits, and drop-in, and I'm currently only accepting new sleepover clients who are ok with that. My background: While living in South Carolina, I was a part of a program called "Lucky Dog" that prepared shelter dogs for the domestic life. I house-trained, kennel-trained, and socialized about a dozen dogs over a 9 month span. I've continued to foster dogs ever since, fostering over 100 dogs (and only "foster failing" with two!), ranging from shy to spicy, young to old, small to large.
