Pet care experience
Hello! A little about myself...I grew up with dogs, cats, and many other types of pets (birds, snakes, rabbits, rats, turtles, tortoises, fish, etc...) When I was 18, I was a veterinary assistant and did that for 3 years, and also volunteered for the Humane Society and a 24 hour emergency pet hospital. I have had pets throughout my whole life, and currently own multiple cats and 2 dogs, an Aussie and a Siberian husky. I give my cats their vaccines myself and do my own cats nail trims as well. In our home, we consider our pets family, and I will treat your family members the way I would want mine treated...they will always be in caring hands with me. FYI, I have administered oral medications to both dogs and cats and am comfortable with giving subcutaneous injections if needed. BTW: if you have birds or other exotics that need care, I am comfortable with that too! Just message me to discuss.

Julia did an amazing job looking after my cat while I was away on an extended trip. My cat (who is an absolute spook) warmed right up to her and she took great care of him. I will definitely reach back out to her the next time I’m in need of catsitting.

I have booked with Julia many times in the past few years snd she is always responsive and caring when it comes to my babies. One of my pups often refuses to eat when I’m away and Julia is always able to get her to take some food!

I am happy to take your dogs for walks when weather allows it, throw the ball for them, and of course give them lots of attention. If you have a long haired baby, I am happy to brush him/her. Same goes for cats. I love both dogs and cats (and other animals!) and I will give them whatever they need when you are away :)
Information Julia H. would like to know about your pet
If a dog is fearful of something specific, aggressive, likes to chase cats, or doesn’t like children and/or other dogs. I don’t want to find this out the hard way while I’m out on a walk! I will not take care of dogs with any aggressive behaviors. Also, if the dog has allergies or specific dietary needs, let me know!
A typical day
Every dog is different, so depending on what the dog likes, I can play with him or her, whether that be throwing a ball, playing tug-a-war, or just giving some attention. Going on walks of course depending on weather. Really it will depend on what you tell me your dog likes. This also depends on thr dogs age and breed since some dogs are lazier than others.

Availability
I am a stay at home mom to a preschooler who is in school during the day, so my schedule is very flexible. I sometimes have to bring my 4 year old son depending on the day and time, and he just sits quietly with his tablet when I am taking care of pets. If we are going out for a walk, my son walks with us. This means no aggressive dogs or lhyper dogs that will knock over a child or bite. Also, in the summer months, I will not take your dog out longer than needed to poop and pee. The asphalt is too hot for their feet and it would be cruel to keep them out. I am happy to play with your dog indoors after the potty break (or a yard with grass/shade for the scheduled time. I am very communicative, honest, trustworthy, and dependable. I will always update you on your pet and send photos. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have!
