I think every dog is different, so I like to adjust my care based on their personality and needs. I’m a very active person and love going on walks, hikes, and playing with energetic dogs, but I also enjoy relaxing with senior or shy dogs who prefer a slower pace. Whether a dog wants to be outside exploring or curled up on the couch for some company, I make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while they’re in my care.

My family adopted a kitten in July—our very first one—and she quickly became the youngest member of our family, surrounded by lots of love. However, we were scheduled a family trip before the end of summer vacation, Therefore, we needed a pet sitter to take care of little furry one, so we found Julia H. We soon discovered that Julia was much more than just a pet sitter—she was a guardian angel for our kitten. She always arrived on time and cared for her with genuine love and attention. She followed all of our instructions carefully, played with her patiently, and concluded every visit by sending us pictures and updates. It did not take long for Julia to win our kitten’s trust. Our kitten cuddled with her and became noticeably affectionate and clingy around her, which told us everything we needed to know. Knowing that she was in such caring and capable hands allowed us to enjoy our worry-free family trip. Julia is responsible, responsive, and thus reliable. Our kitten’s reaction to her says it all. We would be more than happy to have Julia care for our little furry one again next time we need to be away, and we are pleased to recommend her to any pet parent looking for someone who is accountable.

As a college student currently on break, I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of free time to dedicate to pet care. I am available throughout the day for walks, feeding, playtime, and companionship, and I can easily adapt my routine to meet a pet’s specific needs. Having cared for my own dog for years and regularly dog-sat for family friends, I understand the importance of providing consistent attention, exercise, and care to help pets feel comfortable and happy while their owners are away.

- Before caring for a pet, I like to know about any medical conditions, allergies, medications, dietary restrictions, and behavioral quirks. It’s also helpful to know their daily routine, favorite activities, and how they interact with other people or animals. Every pet is different, and having this information helps me keep them safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away. Humans come with instruction manuals called resumes; pets unfortunately do not.
