Pet care experience

FT Sitter, Insured, CPR certified

Dogs and cats of all sizes and breeds are welcome! I specialize in working with puppies, senior pets, and reactive pets. Fun fact, I'm also a member of PSI (Pet Sitters International) and am CPPS certified. I do professional development that is made by vets and animal behaviorists every year. I am insured via Pet Care Insurance. I offer overnight pet sits, walks, and drop-ins. I work with all kinds of furry friends including dogs, cats, bunnies, guinea pigs, and chinchillas! No feathery friends, please. I'm highly allergic. My pet sitting schedule for overnights includes a sleepover and 3-4 visits throughout the day (30-60 minutes per visit) for adult dogs and 4-5 visits for puppies. I've been pet-sitting for over a decade. I started out by pet sitting for friends and neighbors and moved my way into professional pet sitting 6 years ago, so not much surprises me anymore. I've worked with dogs of all shapes and sizes including Huskies, Saint Bernards, Samoyeds, Heelers, and Pitbulls and Vislas. For cats, I've worked with Russian blues, Persians, tabbies, and mixed breeds. I also have experience with animals who have separation anxiety and disabilities such as amputee dogs and cats missing an eye.

Safety, trust & environment

I have my first aid and CPR certification for cats and dogs and do professional development courses on animal behavior and safety every month. I also like to talk to the owners about best practices for handling chewing, jumping, etc so I'm keeping in line with any training they're doing.

Julia kept our dog Toby safe and met all his needs while I went across the country for 5 days. She also was able to work through a challenging situation with a neighbor.

Julia was wonderful with our dog Toby and respectful of our home. She sent updates and pics several times a day. She was able to give him meds and use the prong collar for walks per our request. She has experience and we would definitely trust her with our pup again.

Schedule

I'm a low-volume full-time pet sitter, so while I don't have a traditional 8-hour work day, I will pop out for some walks or errands here and there. When I house sit, I try to limit my schedule to 3-4 walks per day or around 1-2 for young pups. I'd be best for dogs and pups who can be alone for 4-8 hours at a time.

I do not have any breed preferences. I love all dogs and cats. I would want to know if they have any medical conditions so I can make sure I know what to expect, and I would want to know your preference for how often you'd like me to take them on a walk per day. Please also let me know if you prefer to have them fed more often in smaller amounts or if they should be fed just a couple larger meals per day.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
