Highlights
Pet care experience
True animal lover!
I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was 6 years old. My mom always made me responsible for their maintenance and upkeep, and I always gave my pets the best care. I have provided services for friends, watching dogs ranging from small chihuahua’s to large great pyrenees. I have also cared for puppies, kittens, and adult cats. I haven’t come across many animals in my life that don’t enjoy my company. During the summers, I work as a wildlife biologist with the national park service, forest service, and U.S. fish and wildlife service. Animal care and welfare is my passion!
Qualifications
Ratings and reviews
It's been almost a week since Julia has been visiting my pups. They love the extra attention and I love watching them have fun while I'm at work.

Julia takes great care of our Zoey and is always on time for her check ins. We work too far from home to be able to run home and let her out in the middle of the day so this has been a great fit for us.

We had such a wonderful experience with Julia! From the very beginning, they were kind, professional, punctual, and clearly cared deeply about our pup. Communication was excellent throughout, and we truly appreciated the consistent updates and photos, which put our minds completely at ease. It was obvious our dog was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Trusting someone with a member of your family isn’t easy, but Julia exceeded all expectations. We returned to a happy, relaxed pup and wouldn’t hesitate to book again. We highly recommend Julia to anyone looking for loving, reliable care. 🐾✨
Julia stopped by and visited Zoey during some long days when we couldn’t get home to let her out for some potty breaks. We appreciate her care with our girl. I know Zoey was well taken care of. We’ll be reaching out again in the future.

My boys love Julia! She played with them, made sure they went to the bathroom, got them water and gave them treats. So happy to be able to rebook this sitter! 🐾🐾

Julia has a huge heart for animals and so much compassion for people. Julia has her own dog named Charlie and I have been learning about Charlie since the moment I met Julia. At that time, we were both away from home and Julia was counting down the days until she could see her beloved boy again. She wears a necklace for Charlie that she never takes off because she loves him so much. I knew all this about Julia, but I didn't see her love and care for animals in action until we visited a farm in the fall. At the farm, Julia lit up when she saw that we could hold the rabbits. She held each one so gently and was always concerned about how it was feeling and how the other bunnies were doing as well. Her care helped the rabbits calm down and feel safe. Once Julia was finally able to go home, I could see for myself how much she cared for her dog. Her schedule is based around taking him for walks and giving him baths and she spends her money on good food for him and items that will make him more content. Julia has also worked with wild animals in a rehab center where she cared for and cleaned up after various wild species. In many capacities she has worked kindly and respecfully both people and animals. She is always considerate of others, is a great communicator, is very responsible, and follows through with everything she is asked to do. I have no doubt that Julia will excel in taking care of pets because she puts her whole heart into the work she does. Julia is the type of person that will go the extra mile to make your pet happy and will then text you pictures about it just so you are sure that everything is alright. Undoubtedly, Julia has so much love in her heart and readily offers it to animals and to the owners that care for them.
Calendar and availability
Schedule
I am in the “off-season” currently, and enjoy time at home caring for my dog and my mom’s dog for the holidays. I am looking for something to occupy my time that brings joy to my life.
Where your pet will stay
Safety, trust & environment
I am very active, so spending time with energetic dogs, or providing a range of walks to match each dogs energy level and physical ability. I am also comfortable to relax and provide gentle play or quality time with low energy dogs that would prefer to cuddle or rest. I am certified in CPR and first aid, and comfortable administering to both humans and animals with the pet first aid kit I always carry with me.

A typical day
For walks, I love to let the pup take the lead! Letting them take the time to explore and sniff as much as they’d like, because that is super important for socialising a dog! I never tire of a good game of fetch or chase, and will happily go on walks ranging from around the block to 2 miles or more! For the indoor princesses, engaging in fun indoor play and cuddles is what I offer! Playing games involving obedience or other mentally stimulating challenges is another type of engagement that I offer!
