During the week, I mostly work as a nanny, which means my days are filled with snack negotiations, creative storytelling, tiny shoes that somehow disappear, and the occasional “how did you get that up there?” mystery. There’s usually glitter involved. I don’t ask questions anymore. I’m off on weekends and all major holidays, but don’t worry, I’m absolutely open to weekday overnights and drop-ins. Kids and animals both ignore schedules anyway, so I’ve learned to be flexible (and fueled by coffee). When I’m not wrangling tiny humans, I genuinely love spending time with animals of all shapes and sizes, because let’s be honest, pets are way better listeners, significantly less sticky, and rarely argue with me about bedtime. 🐾

Safety, trust & environment
I’m extremely attentive to the needs of every pet in my care, think part bodyguard, part nurse, part overly enthusiastic cheerleader. I notice the little things: a change in appetite, energy, behavior, or mood. If something feels even slightly “off,” I’m already on it, because pets can’t exactly text us when something’s wrong. I keep a close eye out for injuries or signs of stress or illness, and I take any sudden change seriously. Animals usually have a reason for acting differently… even if sometimes that reason is “I saw a leaf move and it offended me” (looking at you, cats). 🐾 Bottom line: your pet won’t just be watched; they’ll be genuinely looked after, understood, and cared for like one of my own.
Information Julia G. would like to know about your pet
I’d love a mini “pet résumé” ahead of time so I can come in prepared and keep everyone safe and happy. Please be open and honest about anything I might encounter: chronic conditions, meds, quirks, habits, or the occasional “he’s an angel… except when he turns into a WWE wrestler.” I can absolutely handle a lot, I just like to know what I’m walking into so I can plan accordingly. This is especially important since my daughter is often with me, and she’s wonderful with animals, but also deserves the full scouting report. No surprise plot twists, please. 😄 Also, if you’ve got any “bonus characters” not listed in your booking (mystery hamsters, surprise chickens, a lizard who only eats at sunrise… 🐓), just let me know ahead of time. I’m happy to care for them too, but they do count as additional guests, and like any good Airbnb, extra occupants come with a small added fee. 😉
A typical day
I love getting outside: walks, hikes, backyard zoomies, you name it. If you’re near a park or trail and you’re comfortable with it, I’ll happily turn your pet into my official adventure buddy. Think of it as a mini field trip: fresh air, happy tails, and at least one very dramatic squirrel sighting (no promises it won’t be treated like a full-blown wildlife documentary moment). 🐾🌳 Your dog gets exercise, enrichment, and a solid story to tell when you get home; “you will not BELIEVE what I almost caught today.”

Pet care experience
PLEASE READ BEFORE REQUESTING A BOOKING (it’s short, I promise 😄) *I do have private pet/house sit insurance as well.* I’ve basically run an informal zoo my entire life: cats, dogs, bunnies, fish, horses… if it eats, sheds, hops, or gives side-eye, I’ve probably taken care of it. I’ve raised tiny chaos potatoes (puppies and kittens), traveled with animals like a very underpaid safari guide, and even worked as a veterinary technician in both small and large animal clinics across the country. So yes, if it’s weird, wiggly, or slightly dramatic, I’m your girl. These days, I also come with a tiny human sidekick (my daughter). She’s been raised around animals and considers herself working management. She accompanies me on overnights, so your pets must be kid-approved (she gives great belly rubs, games of fetch, and 10/10 snack supervision). Oftentimes we also bring along my mini Aussie, part service dog, part social butterfly, part couch potato. She has yet to meet an animal she doesn’t get along with. 🐾 Quick logistics so we’re all on the same page: • Drop-ins = I can come solo (mini Aussie and/or my daughter stays home holding down the fort) • Overnights = you may get the full cast of characters If you book one and then realise the other makes more sense, I’ll happily suggest adjusting your booking, because I like doing right by people (and saving you money when I can). And finally, your home will be treated with care, respect, and possibly a light glow-up. Think: pet care… but you also come home to “wait, did someone clean while I was gone??” energy. ✨ If your pets are cool with a tiny entourage and a lot of love, we’re going to get along just fine.

Reviews

Julia gave daily updates and was very flexible. Both our special needs senior dog as well as our younger dog lover her!

Julia could not be better in coordination and care for our cats!

Julia is a great sitter! Very thoughtful and caring! And very accommodating when booking on shorter notice than usual. Thank you, Julia!

Julia is a great sitter- she’s reliable and very caring towards my kitties! It’s very reassuring to know they are in good hands when I’m away on travel!
