Pet care experience

Your pet's favorite sitter!

Hi! My name is Julia and I'd love to take care of your pet. When they stay with me they are treated like they're my own! Although I don't currently have any of my own pets, I come from an enthusiastic dog loving family, and always had 2-3 large dogs growing up, and I helped with their upkeep. I am a data analyst, avid reader, and runner. I am a very responsible and active person. Your pet will feel at home with me and I do my best to ensure their happiness and comfort. I love to send cute photos and updates of what your pet is up to while you're away. Whether your pet comes to stay with me or I stay with them they'll be well taken care of. Whether it's a leisurely stroll through the neighborhood, a fun game of fetch in the park, or a cozy cuddle session on the couch, I tailor my approach to each pet's preferences. Safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities, ensuring that every pet I care for feels cherished and secure. My commitment to pet care goes beyond the basics; I believe in tailoring every pet's experience to their personalities, whether that means introducing new toys, providing mental stimulation through games and tricks, going to new locations, or simply spending quality time together, I strive to make every moment memorable, and document it for you! I understand that pets are cherished family members, and I'm honored to be entrusted with their well-being. With me, your beloved companions are not just in good hands; they're in the hands of someone who genuinely adores them.

Julia is amazing! She was super communicative, sending pup photos and info throughout her time with Charlie. He clearly had a great time, and even ran back toward her apt after we left—found a new best friend! Julia was extremely understanding when our trip was unexpectedly prolonged, and we felt at ease knowing he was in good hands until we could return. Appreciate the flexibility. Highly recommend Julia!!

House Sitting • Mar 09, 2026

Julia is the BEST dog sitter! Our two dogs not only love her but get to do all sorts of fun things with her that we don’t do (more walks, new places, etc). She sends frequent updates accompanied by wonderful photos. In addition, she’s a super trustworthy and reliable house sitter while caring for the pups. We always feel secure in the knowledge that Julia provides safe and loving care. Recommend 110%!

Julia was wonderful with Dinah. It gave me so much peace of mind to know that our dog was having a great time with Julia. I couldn’t have asked for any better care during her two day stay.

Schedule

I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I aim for three walks a day - one in the morning, one at lunch, and one in the evening. Couch cuddles and play time in between. On the weekends your pet will accompany me on coffee runs, hikes, or anything else I get up to they might like.

Safety, trust & environment

I take the time to build trust with each pet by approaching them calmly, speaking softly, and offering treats or favorite toys to create positive associations. I follow established routines and maintain consistency in their schedule to help pets feel secure and comfortable. I communicate openly with you, providing regular updates on their well-being, activities, and any concerns that may arise during their absence. I create comfortable and cozy areas for pets to relax, ensuring they have access to fresh water, bedding, and a safe haven if they need some downtime. I engage pets in stimulating activities that cater to their individual needs and preferences, from interactive play to enriching mental exercises. I make sure to provide ample cuddles, pets, and soothing words to keep them feeling loved and secure.

A typical day

I usually take several walks per day. If it's ok with you I will bring your dog with me on one of the lovely nature walks in the area, such as the Three Mile Greenway, Carrs Pond, or the Turner Reservoir. If you check out my photos, you'll see pictures of some of the places I've taken the dogs that are in my care. I ensure each pet gets as much stimulation as possible with long walks, trips to the dog park when appropriate, play time, and visits to dog-friendly restaurants.

For boarding in my home, I'd like to know if there are any issues with whining, barking or separation anxiety. I am able to accommodate these but require heads-up notice. I would also like to know if the dog has accidents or marks in the house. I am unable to accept dogs with these issues to stay in my home.
