I adore all cats and dogs
My superpower is making scared pets feel comfortable. At my last job, I worked in different customers’s homes every day, and there were countless times that the customer was surprised their skittish pet was making an appearance with me in the house. They were also surprised when their pet would approach me and let me pet them. I felt so honored! I must have a cool and calm demeanor that lets pets know I am a friend and not a threat ❤️ My dog, Ash, is such a cute and sweet elderly dog! She is 14 years old and slowing down a lot. I am very patient with her so she can take all the time she needs, including on walks when I have to walk incredibly slow and wait for her a lot. I have also taught her some new tricks in her old age. Who says old dogs can’t learn new tricks? Previously, I had a roommate who had the most adorable Australian Shepherd 6-month-old puppy. I loved taking care of him. He is very high-energy, so I took him on a lot of speed walks. I played with him all the time because I couldn’t get enough of his adorableness. By living with a puppy, I learned a lot about training and discipline, so I will be able to manage your dog to make sure they stay out of trouble. This also means I understand feeding and potty schedules and can adhere to your dog's needs. As for cats, I grew up with at least two cats in the house my entire life, so I understand just how unique each cat personality can be. I am great at reading their behavior and body language, so I know when they are comfortable or when they need to be left alone. Whether your cat is a loner or a lover, I would love to care for them and send you a lot of pics.

Julia was fantastic. She housesat for my two dogs, one of which is senior. She was very open about the times that she couldn’t be at my house so that I could plan to be sure my dogs weren’t alone for too long. I got lots of great pictures, and I can tell that my dogs were not too stressed by our absence. Top tier sitter!! Thank you, Julia!!!
I would book with Julia again! She took great care of senior cat, even adjusting to some med needs that came up after booking. The house looked just how I left it when I got home and I received plenty of photos throughout with updates.
We had a wonderful experience with Julia and would happily book with her again. She was extremely communicative throughout our trip, providing regular updates and photos that gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Our dogs were clearly well cared for, happy, and comfortable in her care. She was attentive, responsible, and handled everything professionally. She also left our home in excellent condition. Safety, trust & environment
My goal is to make friends with your pet so they can feel relaxed while their real parents are away. Sometimes they need to be left alone before they come out to greet people. I am patient and will give those more skittish pets the space they need to warm up. If the pet is friendly, I will happily dive into greeting them and interacting with them. Dogs will always be kept on a leash on walks and I will make sure no pets escape the house when I am entering and leaving.
A typical day
I love taking dogs on new adventures, including walks around Chambers Bay, the South Puget Sound Wildlife Area, and Fort Steilacoom. They also deserve to do other enrichment activities, such as playing fetch or being fed with a snuffle mat/other toy feeder. For cats, I love seeing which toys they like to play with. If they aren’t in the mood, I will give them plenty of pets and I would feel honored if they want to cuddle on the couch while I watch TV.
