I have been a dog owner for 16 years but currently without pets. We had two dogs, Peanut, a rescued Beagle mix who we lost in 2019 at the age of 14. And Cassie who we just lost this year on new years day 2023. She would've been 15 in June.😭. I have such a love for dogs but we are still healing and not ready for a permanent addition. I thought what a fun way to fill the void in my heart and maybe help other families or people in need of some pet care.

Julia was absolutely amazing with our dog Koda! She was very flexible with our schedule and amazing with communication. She sent several photo/video updates over his two night stay, and he seemed quite happy when we picked him up! Overall amazing experience with an amazing sitter, we will definitely reach out if/when we need boarding again!

I cannot say enough good things about Julia. This is my first time using Rover and I was so nervous leaving my dog with someone I didn’t personally know but Julia put my mind at ease immediately. She truly loves the animals she takes care of - she’s thoughtful and so kind, she even put a little step stool in front of the window so my dog could see out of it. She sent me pictures and videos multiple times a day without me even asking. She took her on walks each day and played with her and brushed her. She was also flexible - we had to rearrange our dates twice due to flight changes and she accommodated us with grace. She is TRULY the best and I would recommend her to anyone and everyone. Thank you Julia!!!

Schedule
I am currently a stay home mom. I homeschool my kids and I also have a small business that I run out of my home. So we are here allllll the time. There wouldn't be an issue of bathroom breaks or walks ever.

Safety, trust & environment
Since we are previous dog owners we are no stranger to dog behavior. We allow them to set on the furniture and roam where they please unless you'd prefer them not to. We have over an acre backyard. It is not fenced however. Our dogs wete yard trained but if you're dog needs to stay on a leash we have no problem walking them. We also live quite close to a dog park and could take trips there for free running and playing. I take pet care very seriously and understand the love we have for our pets. I would never ever take that seriousness for granted.
A typical day
We have a dog park close by. We also have a huge backyard that's perfect for a game of fetch if your pet has good recall. We live in a very residential area so walks around the block are great too.
