I’m a PhD student currently in the writing stage, which means I’m home most of the day and have a very flexible schedule that’s easy to adapt to your dog’s routine. Whether your pup loves energetic adventures or prefers a slower pace, I’m happy to customize their walks, playtime, and rest periods to suit their needs. I take frequent breaks throughout the day for walks and playtime, which is a great way for both me and the dog to recharge. I live near Volkspark Friedrichshain, a perfect spot for long, relaxing walks or fun outings with the dogs I care for.

I live in an apartment within a gated community, so your dog will be safe and secure while staying with me. Communication is key to understanding your dog’s unique needs, and I always take the time to learn as much as I can about their personality and habits. Some of the questions I’ll ask include: 1. Do they have any special needs or health conditions? 2. Are they on any medication? 3. Do they tend to steal food or chew/swallow objects? 4. How do they tend to react to other dogs during walks or in social situations? Knowing these details helps me adapt my space, routine, and care to suit your pup perfectly. I take safety very seriously, from keeping harmful items out of reach to being extra mindful during walks. As a former dog owner, I understand how much your furry friend means to you and how difficult it is to leave them with someone. I make sure to send regular updates and photos (as many as you’d like) so you can feel completely comfortable knowing your dog is happy, safe, and in good hands.

The main things I need to know about your dog are: 1. Do they have any special needs or health conditions? 2. Are they on any medication? 3. Do they tend to steal food or chew/swallow objects? 4. How do they tend to react to other dogs/people during walks or in social situations? 5. How much playtime/walks do they usually need? Are they high energy or are they mainly indoor dogs? Generally I need to know a bit of their personality and usual behaviour, so I can cater to it and also be on the lookout for atypical behaviours for each dog (for example a high energy dog that suddenly is just laying down most of the day - something that could be confused with the normal behaviour of a low energy dog).

My days are usually a mix of working on my thesis and taking breaks, during which I love to play with dogs or go for a walk to refresh my mind. For smaller cuddly dogs, one of my favorite things is having them on my lap while I write. For larger cuddly dogs, I enjoy laying with them and watching some TV. For dogs staying with me longer, I love taking them to Volkspark Friedrichshain, especially on weekends. When the weather is nice, my husband and I enjoy going on picnics and bringing the dogs along for a fun day.

Experiencia en el cuidado de mascotas
Hi, my name is Julia, I`m 30 years old and I am a Brazilian PhD student living in Berlin since 2019. I’ve always been a dog person—getting my first dog as a kid was hands-down one of the best days of my life. Since then, I’ve had the joy of raising a dog from a tiny, playful puppy all the way through their senior years, so I understand how their needs change as they grow. I also have experience with anxious dogs that need a little extra patience and time to build trust. I know how to create a calm, comforting environment to help them feel safe and cared for. Whether it’s keeping up with your energetic pup, providing gentle care and attention to older dogs, or embracing the little quirks that make each dog unique, I’m all about making sure they’re happy and comfortable. My goal is to give your pet the same love and attention I’d give my own!
Reseñas

Heute war der erste Test-Tag und Júlia hat es meiner kleinen LeeLoo sehr angenehm gemacht und ihr ganz liebevoll den ersten Trennungsschreck genommen. Vielen lieben Dank :))

Júlia was super communicative with pics and updates of my dog. Very flexible and understanding with my timing 😅. Very very sweet with Harold. Would definitely recommend!!

We've had the best experience with Julia! She took care of our almost 6 months old puppy and I couldn't have asked for a better person to do it. Since the beginning, Julia was very thorough with the communication and care, wanting to meet us beforehand so that we can get to know each other a bit. When she had Ruby, she followed our routine perfectly, with a mix of training, playing, and calm time, and took Ruby to the park for a long play time in the sun. She messaged me constantly during the day, sending pictures and letting me know how everything was going. Her vibe and experience with dogs was very evident, even for our puppy, who came back home happy and tired from a day filled with adventures. We will for sure be a recurrent customer of hers, and I'm very happy that Ruby will have her in her life! I cannot recommend her enough :)

We booked Julia to take care of our dog during our short trip to Berlin and would definitely do it again. Our Bonney is a rambunctious, but also sensitive girl poodle. Julia was able to meet her at both ends of her personality spectrum. 😊🐩 Communication with Julia pre-booking and during day care was excellent. She knows what questions to ask and kept us happily informed of how the day was going.
