Hi there! I am an occupational therapist looking to offer pet care services on the side. I am willing to care for dogs, cats, horses, livestock, and more. I have an extensive history of working with animals as I began horseback riding when I was 8 years old and grew up helping my grandmother care for her horses and dogs. My household was filled with dogs, cats, turtles, hamsters, and I also owned a horse as a child. I also have experience caring for 2 chihuahuas for months at a time. I have helped a woman groom, exercise, and feed her horses and cats when she is out of town since 2007. I also have worked at a petting farm with horses, goats, pigs, a camel ( yes, a camel!), ponies, rabbits, and various birds for birthday parties and events for children since 2012. My fiance and I recently added a new shiba inu and brittany spaniel boxer mix puppy to our family. They are quite a handful but we are loving every minute with them. I enjoy working with all animals and treat them as if they are my own. Don't hesitate to message me if interested!

This was our first go at using Rover.com. We have had our dog at boarding and other daycare locations for many years. With our dog now aging, she hasn't done particularly well in boarding and daycare facilities as of more recent years. I reached out to Julia for an alternative solution and had her watch our dog Hallie for 9 days, while we went on a family beach vacation. We were a little nervous as Hallie is more senior and can be more needy at times. We were very pleased with how everything went. Hallie seemed to do great from the feedback. Julia even sent photos and videos, which was reassuring! Typically, when weve picked Hallie up at other daycare and boarding facilities she looks exhausted and beat. We didn't get that sense at all and she seemed relaxed and calm. Big thank you for watching Hallie! We would recommend to others.
Julie and Simon took great care of Mesa while she stayed with them over a long weekend! Mesa was a little skittish being in a new place and they did a great job making her feel comfortable and just rolling with her quirks! Their dog Nola was a great playmate for Mesa too :)

Our dogs loved their stay. They came home very tired from all the fun! Got an update at least once a day which made me feel at ease while traveling! Would recommend!!

Schedule
I currently work full time as an occupational therapist but I provide pet care services on the side when I am able. My fiance works from home and has a flexible schedule and helps to assist.

Safety, trust & environment
At my home, your fur baby will be able to play with and socially with my two pups in a fenced in back yard. Pets are closely supervised to ensure their safety. They are always fed separately from one another to avoid food agression. Environment is modified as needed to ensure pet safety (i.e. stairs blocked off).

A typical day
We will spend the time doing what your pet loves to do! Walks, play with toys, cuddle, etc. We can walk to a nearby park or go for a stroll around the neighborhood.
