I work from home between 7 AM and 3 PM, which gives me plenty of flexibility for walks, playtime, and any care the dog might need throughout the day. Since my job doesn’t involve calls or meetings, I can easily adjust my schedule to match your dog’s routine. Whether they need frequent walks, cuddle breaks, or just a calm presence nearby, I’m able to give them lots of attention and care ☺️! On the weekends/ after work, I love to take the dogs for a longer walk and play, either in Hampstead Heath or Waterlow Park! During longer summer stays, with owner’s permission I love taking the doggos to a coastal destination nearby (Whistable, Margate)!

Safety, trust & environment

First and foremost, I always follow the owner’s instructions closely- whether that means sticking to a specific feeding schedule, respecting furniture rules, or being mindful of any allergies or health concerns. I always make sure to ask about any special needs or preferences before the stay begins. During the day, I take dogs out for walks every 2 hours (adjustable to the doggo’s needs), and I make sure each outing includes some play or stimulation so they stay happy and engaged. If the dog enjoys socialising, I often take them to a nearby dog park or on a longer adventure to Waterlow Park once a day. But of course, if a dog prefers quieter walks or needs more calm time, I adapt everything to suit their comfort and personality. I also ALWAYS ensure they eat well and drink enough water (I have happily hand-fed some doggos both of their meals during the stay multiple times before, following owner’s instructions), I know how important it is to stay fueled in a day full of excitement! At home, I love giving dogs plenty of affection- cuddles, scratchies, or just being close by if they prefer their own space. My flat is cozy, spacious, and pet-friendly, with no other animals or children around, so your pet can relax in a calm, quiet environment. Whether they want a playful stay or a peaceful retreat, I make sure the experience feels just right for them. In terms of updates, I’m happy to adapt to you - I always send at least a morning and evening update, but I’m happy to send more frequent updates throughout the day☺️! I do also send pictures of exciting activities or cosy snuggles!

Information Julia D. would like to know about your pet

Any potential allergies, any illnesses and anxieties. Are they scared of other dogs? Are they reactive/ aggressive? Are they good off-leash or is it better to keep them on leash at all times when walking? Do they have any resource guarding tendencies? Are they allowed on furniture?

A typical day

A typical day for me usually starts with a morning walk at 6AM (completely adjusted to dog’s needs, but I usually aim for 40-60ish minutes) and some playtime, after our return home I tend to let the doggo rest for a little bit before breakfast time to avoid any risk of bloat or issues with digestion. While I do a little bit of work, they are completely free to nap, have a yak stick, or just relax (especially important on warmer days)! After a couple of hours, we will go for another walk anywhere between 30mins-1,5hrs, depending on the pup’s excercise needs and preferences! During the walk, I’m always prepared for some off-leash play with a ball or another durable toy or gently encourage any playtime with puppy friends in the park, I believe socialization is a very important part of their day! Later in the day, I will usually go to Waterlow Park or on a longer walk in nearby parks, which is a perfect opportunity for some sniffing, exploring and playing! After this, I will encourage some relaxing time back home (whether it is cuddles and scratchies, or just resting nearby) for an hour before dinner, as to avoid any stomach issues. I will also prepare their dinner at the time followed by their owners at home. At home, I have got toys-galore. Whether your pup is into squeaky stuffed toys, crinkly toys, rubber balls and chews, tug-a-war, or some puzzle toys and sniffle mats. I have plenty to keep them mentally and physically stimulated. Of course, everything is tailored to your dog’s personality and needs. If they’re high-energy, we’ll play; if they prefer to chill, I’ll respect that too. I always let the dog set the tone.

A staycation for your Furry Friend!

Pet care experience

I only take 1 family of dogs at the same time (I accept multiple dog bookings only from the same family) to ensure safety and comfort at home, but encourage and support your doggo making new friends in parks! I live in a clean, smoke free, child free flat in Highgate (minutes away from Parkland walk). I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember—growing up with them and getting my first dog when I was around 8 years old (a very cheeky terrier). Since moving to London for university, I’ve been caring for neighborhood pups and using apps and social media groups to care for pups whenever I can. I’ve hosted many dogs overnight (longest stay being 4 weeks). l have experience with all breeds, from mini dachshunds, chihuahuas, yorkies and jack russell terriers through working breeds such as cocker spaniels and springers, Whippets to larger breeds such as German Shepards, Goldens (both show and working) Samoyeds, Huskies, Greyhounds and Bernese Mountain Dogs! I’ve loved every dog I looked after for their unique personalities and preferences 😊. I work remotely from home, which means I have a very flexible schedule and can easily adapt to your and your pet’s routine. I always make sure dogs get regular walks—usually every 1.5 to 2 hours or more, depending on their needs. I’m happy to follow any instructions you have to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and well-cared for. Staying at my place is a bit like a mini staycation for your pet! I go out of my way to keep them mentally and physically stimulated- through play, exploring new areas, and (if they’re social) introducing them to friendly dogs along the way. I’m always thinking of ways to make their stay exciting, enriching, and completely tailored to their personality and preferences. I genuinely love being around animals, and from what I’ve heard, the feeling is mutual- dogs are always excited to come back to my flat after our time together! 😊 I have experience caring for senior dogs, very young puppies (youngest is 3 months old), dogs with separation anxiety and dogs with medical needs. I have administered oral medication and topical medication many times and feel confident doing it. What I have: ceramic bowls, metal bowls, plethora of different balls (squeaky balls, rattle balls), fluffy toys, sniffle mats and puzzles, pupsicle toy, treats (if the doggo is allowed) and yak sticks. I also have hypo-allergic dog shampoo as well as curly dog shampoo (for my poodle and doodle clients)😊! For SUMMER inquiries specifically: I own an L size cooling mat, cooling bowl, toys, and cooling bandanas for summer walkies 😊.

We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter than Julia! She took such wonderful care of our 8-month old golden, giving her plenty of walks, playtime, and attention. It was clear from the start how observant and in tune she is with Alfie’s needs, which gave us real peace of mind. Julia kept us updated with regular messages and photos, which we absolutely loved - it made being away so much easier. She was also incredibly easy to coordinate with for both drop-off and pick-up, making the whole experience seamless. Alfie came back happy, relaxed, and clearly very well cared for. We wouldn’t hesitate to book Julia again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and genuinely caring dog sitter!

Julia was by far the most responsive sitter I've ever had. I knew my girl's every movements. I came back from vacation and it almost seems like my dog is upset I'm not giving her as much love as Julia :) Wouldn't want anything more in a sitter!

Julia looked after our boy Fitz so well. He got tons of walks and cuddles, and he came home super happy. He’s got some medical needs, and she was absolutely perfect with that as well! I’d have no hesitation in highly recommending her to other pawrents.

Julia is so wonderful. We’d have her watch Enzo every time if we could. She’s extremely accommodating, thoughtful and caring. Can’t recommend her enough.
