I am currently working a hybrid job so my hours are flexible. I am free mornings and evenings during the week (though with booking notice can be available all day) and am available on weekends!

I do not have any other pets so yours will get all of my attention! Daily walks, play time, and more than enough room for your dog if they need a place to stay!

It would be helpful to know what specific needs or accommodations your dog has prior to the booking. It is important to me to prepare for a fun and safe environment for your dog. This may include any special needs, training-in-progress, or behaviors I can account for! A few questions I typically ask to best prepare: - Are they comfortable going for walks where they may be around other dogs or new people? - Is there a routine/schedule you stick to I should be aware of? (specific times they eat, need to be taken out, etc.) - Do they sleep on the bed with owner or in a crate? (if crate please provide) - What are their favorite activities? - Are they currently undergoing training? - Are there any special command words I should be aware of? (ex. “Cross” to cross the street) Any toys they may have are always appreciated!

My favorite things to do with the pets I look after are take them for walks on the Katy Trail if they are comfortable around other dogs/new people. If not, I love taking them on my daily walk route around Uptown - about a 5 mile circuit. Previously, I have enjoyed playing with them with the toys their owners have provided. Not only does this make them feel more comfortable in a new environment, but I can tell it’s where their personality’s come out!

Erfahrung in der Haustierbetreuung
Hi! My name is Julia and I would love to care for your pet! My family has had German Shepherds all my life so I am very comfortable around big dogs! German Shepherds need time to go outside, exert energy, and get their body moving. This is especially true for this breed because, with age, their hips and hind legs eventually weaken. Although it was difficult seeing Holly, Trudy, Fritz and Heidi all go through this, it has prepared me in many ways on how to best accommodate and make them comfortable - everything from administering medication to finding new walk routes that avoid stairs. I hope that the accommodations and care that I’ve learned from this experience can be applied to your dog!
