I'm a student at the University and am taking remote classes this winter. This allows me the flexibility to care for pets around a client's schedule.

I do not have a fenced in yard, but live close to several dog parks. I would keep any pets leashed in my neighborhood. I have flexibility to care for pets in my or a client's home depending on each pet and what situation works best.

I think their general temperament and activity level are important. I'm pretty down for any level of activity and time commitment, I just like to fine tune things for each individual animal.
A typical day
I love taking long walks and hikes. I really love the Presumpscot Trails as well as dog friendly beaches like Higgins.. :) I have even taken energetic pups on the bike paths back home in Acadia! For longer stays I think connection and attention is important for animals.

Pet care experience
I've raised a variety of pets from childhood. Dogs, cats, guinea pigs, geckos and even salt water fish! I'm an environmental science major and have always been passionate about animals. In my adult life I have cared for others pets for short trips and as long as 6 months while a friend was on deployment. I especially love the opportunity to take animals on adventure and exercise !

Julia did a great job taking care of our two border collies. Taking them for walks and playing fetch outside are key to their happiness. Julia also clearly took good care of our home. Definitely recommend Julia.
Julia was terrific! Our Stanley can be a little shy around new people, but she came and met him before spending several nights with him, and the second time she came he was so excited to see her! She sent us daily pictures, took him on lots of hikes, and took such great care of our little buddy. We are so thankful for her and won’t be using anyone else!

Julia sent us great photos every day we were gone and the house was so tidy when we returned. Would definitely book her services again!
