Availability
I have open availability and flexibility this summer! I am a big advocate of “a tired dog is a happy dog” so I feel every dog should be exercised and stimulated enough throughout the day to keep them sane. I believe pet care is very important in daily routines. I do work throughout the week, but have a flexible schedule. I am also able to go home during my lunch breaks to take care of my own dogs, or any dogs that would potentially stay at my house.

I will treat every animal I am in contact with like they are my own. I have had a love for animals every since I could remember, and I am a huge animal rights advocate. I have a great background of medical care as well- having worked as a veterinary assistant/receptionist/ and technician for over 7 years now. I have great confidence in medicating animals (oral pills and/or injections) and I am familiar with food allergies and prescription diets. I also have an adjustable size crate at my house for any dog that would need kenneled for any reason.

It is important to inform me of any of your dogs triggers or stressors. I would love to be aware of what could potentially scare your dog and how to calm them down in said situations. It would also be important for me to know if your dog is on any medications or prescription diets/food allergies. I would also like to know if your dog is up to date on vaccinations before committing to a reservation.
A typical day
I love to exercise with my own animals! Going for walks and/or runs is a perfect way to include a furry friend in a typical day. I also live a few blocks away from the local dog park, Beau’s Dream Dog Park located in Buchanan Park, Lancaster. My dogs always love to take trips there. I also enjoy hiking at local trails with my own dogs. These are all fun things your pups could tag along for! At home, we like to play ball in the yard, and frequently watch stimulating Dog TV!

I have 7 years of professional experience as a NAVTA approved Veterinary Assistant. I have worked in preventative medicine, specialty medicine, and emergency medicine. I have had my own pets (including cats, dogs, bunnies, fish, reptiles, etc.) since I was a child. I was even involved in a 4H Seeing Eye Puppy Raising club for the blind. I know what to look for in emergency situations, and how to triage. I am well educated on animal behavior, and will work with commands and training if needed. I also have grooming experience.

Julia is the perfect pet/house sitter! She is intelligent, has a great personality, is loving and friendly with our dogs, and took fantastic care of our house. One of our dogs is always afraid of visitors - but came out of hiding and spent time with Julia. We have never been happier with a pet sitter; we will definitely ask her to sit again.
Julia was a FANTASTIC house sitter. Our dogs loved being with her. She followed their care instructions and ensured they had all the love they needed (and they need a lot). Julia took excellent care of our dogs and our house while we were away and we would recommend her to anyone looking for a house sitter and dog sitter!
Julia was wonderful to work with for our first time using Rover! She took exceptional care of our Honey and treated our home with the utmost respect. We’re so appreciative of her help and the sweet updates of Honey’s adventures while we were away! We hope to have her sit for Honey again in the future! ?
