I'm Your Small Dog Safe Haven – Mature & Reliable!

I specialize in caring for small dogs (15 lbs and under) and understand their unique needs and personalities. I've spent years working with toy breeds, terriers, and other petite pups, with a special talent for housebreaking puppies. I know that small dogs often need extra patience, gentleness, and an understanding of their particular quirks—whether it's managing their big personalities, addressing anxiety, or simply keeping them safe from hazards that larger dogs wouldn't face. I'm experienced with the special considerations small breeds require: careful handling, appropriate portion sizes, monitoring body temperature, and being mindful during play to prevent injury. My own 5-year-old Yorkie has taught me how to read subtle body language and create a calm, secure environment where little dogs feel protected and loved.

I have to tell you, Julia is genuinely the most thoughtful nurturing dog parent I know. Watching her with her Yorkie is like witnessing this beautiful intuitive connection. She just understands what a small dog needs, you know? There's this gentle awareness she has that's really special. She just has such calm consistency. It's like an art form the way she reads a dog's cues and responds. And on doggie walks? Julia is so present and protective. Always aware of other dogs the environment any potential stress triggers. Her little guy is safe because she's tuned in on this deeper level that most people just aren’t. Also Julia is incredibly reliable and communicative. You can trust her completely. If you have a small dog who deserves someone who'll care for them with real tenderness and attention she's absolutely the one. I can't recommend her enough.

Julia's been watching my Yorkie for over a year now and it's honestly the most reliable arrangement I've ever had. Zero issues. My dog settles in immediately eats on schedule gets his walks – everything just works. Her potty break timing and walks timing is legit. She actually understands the mechanics of it and the consistency. Not everyone gets that it.Her Yorkie and mine basically ignore each other which is perfect. No drama no stress just two dogs coexisting in the same space. That's exactly what you want. She reads the dynamics well and doesn't force interaction. From a logistics standpoint she's extremely responsive. Sends updates without me having to ask. Follows instructions precisely. Never had a miscommunication or a missed pickup so if you need someone competent and dependable for your small dog Julia's solid. No hesitation recommending her.

Schedule

I work a flexible schedule and am mostly at home, which means I'm available throughout the day for walks, playtime, and companionship. I'm typically an early riser—up with the chickens!—so morning walks and breakfast routines are no problem. After my morning workout and errands, I'm home with plenty of uninterrupted time for attentive care, whether that's training sessions, afternoon strolls, or just quality cuddle time on the couch. Pet care fits naturally into my daily rhythm, and I never feel rushed or distracted when I have a furry guest.

Safety, trust & environment

Your small dog's safety and happiness are my top priorities. My home is specifically set up for little dogs—secure, hazard-free, and comfortable. My own 5-year-old neutered male Yorkie is gentle, calm, and wonderful with other small dogs, providing relaxed companionship for guests who enjoy having a mellow canine buddy around. I'm extra vigilant about the safety considerations small dogs require: secure harnesses on walks, supervision during all activities, and careful monitoring to ensure they're never in situations where they could be overwhelmed or injured. I follow all feeding, medication, and routine instructions carefully, and I maintain clear communication with owners, sending updates and photos throughout the day. My track record speaks for itself: I hold a 4.98 rating on Uber and 5.0 on Lyft, which reflects my reliability, responsibility, and care in everything I do. I treat every small pup in my care as if they were my own precious companion.

Pets

A typical day

Honestly, I keep it simple and follow the dog's lead. Hyper pup? We're going on extra walks, playing with toys, maybe some tug-of-war or fetch in the yard. I'll tire them out the old-fashioned way. Chill dog? Perfect. We're napping on the couch together, maybe some gentle petting while I read or watch TV. Low-key companionship is totally fine by me. For dogs who like a little mental stimulation, I'll hide treats around the house or work on basic commands with positive reinforcement. But really, most small dogs just want attention, routine, and to feel safe. That's what I provide—no fancy stuff, just solid care and genuine affection.

Please tell me about your dog's personality—are they shy, social, anxious, or confident? I need to know their feeding schedule, portion sizes, and any dietary restrictions. What's their potty routine like? Any health issues, medications, or vet info I should have on hand? Also important: How do they react to new people and dogs? Any triggers or fears I should avoid? What are their favorite toys or comfort items? The more details you share, the better I can care for your pup!
