I’m currently taking a break from my software engineer career, so love to do regular walks at least twice a day. Adding a dog to my daily walks, or cuddling with a cat while I research my next career move sounds like a pretty nice way to spend my day!

I like to always have eyes on them in the beginning, then as trust starts to form between the two of us, regularly check in with them in between regular walks and feeding! Hopefully, if they warm up to me, we can cuddle while I work on my laptop or watch tv. However if they would rather have space and not cuddle, I can be on my laptop in the same room as we co-exist together

Any quirks, fears, and/or particular things I should know? For dogs, What is your dog’s typical behavior on walks? Are there any favorite spots they have? What are your house rules and cleanliness expectations? I typically do a light cleaning before leaving the place, but would love to establish the level of cleaning expected before-hand (I may not be suited for deep-cleaning the whole house, for example)
A typical day
Any place the dog is used to walking, I'd love to explore to keep their routine consistent! If they are good around other dogs, would love to take them to a dog park. For cats, maybe we can play with their favorite toys or simply cuddle and watch tv together.

I'm the type of person who always stops on the street to pet any pups that may come my way. I love dogs, and dogs seem to love me. I had three dogs growing up, and was fully responsible for each one during my teenage years. I also have experience walking neighbors' and friends dogs. My current landlord does not allow dogs, so when I heard about Rover, I knew it was the perfect side-gig for me. The presence of dogs makes me so happy and fulfilled! With that, let me just end by saying how excited I am to get to know your dog! Even if it's just for a few minutes, or hours, I promise I'll love and care for him/her, as if he/she were my own!

Julia did a wonderful job taking care of our older dog, Buddy over the holidays. He was very happy, and our house was immaculate. She communicated and sent pictures every day. We couldn't ask for anything better and Julia was amazing.
Julia is by far the best dog sitter we have ever had! We have used her multiple times to watch our two labradoodles and she always goes above and beyond in creating a safe and fun environment for them. Julia has been wonderful! She's been walking my dog for several weeks now, and it's so great to know that my dog has such a friendly, responsible, helpful, loving visitor while I'm away at work. Julia has been helping him with training, which is so helpful. I also really appreciate the updates and sweet photos she sends in the Rover Cards on every walk: it lets me see how much my pup loves her visits!
