A house without a dog is not a home
I love dogs, and know that they are dogs, not furry people. I enjoy knowing what makes them tick. I have studied with Bob and Marian Bailey, Shirley Chong, and Robin Sallie. I can provide references upon request. I believe that you know your dog best, and will listen to your experience. I've had sitters change diet and routine to one they think is best, and would never do that to anyone else. I also know that every dog needs food, exercise, and attention, and see that they get it. I am one of those people who knows every dog on the block by name, and sometimes their people. I get a real kick out of seeing what it takes to get a dog's tail wagging. I don't have clothes that can't handle muddy paws and wet fur. To clarify a few things that were not clear enough in the profile - I live in a townhouse (options were only house or apartment). I do not have a fenced in yard. I allow dogs out only on lead. I do not have children under 12, but I have two teens who also love dogs. I prefer that dogs have a crate or bed that is their personal spot that they can go to and count on not being disturbed.

We went away for five days and Juli stayed at my home to watch my dog and my daughter’s dog. The initial meet and greet was great and I appreciated that she stopped over before we left to get any final instructions before we left. Juli had me fill out an extensive form which really led me to believe that the dogs would get very good care while we were gone. Unfortunately, I’m sad to say that although the communication was good on our trip, I wasn’t very pleased with the overall care of the dogs while we were gone. Juli left the dogs alone for a very long periods of time and did not adhere to the feeding schedule whatsoever due to the length of time that they were left alone. My daughter’s dog is kenneled so leaving him alone for a long period of time was certainly not what we intended or expected. Upon returning home, I found the house to not be picked up and not how I left it when I went on vacation. In addition, there was dog poop in my living room due to tmy daughter’s dog was not watched and very likely attempted to signal he needed to go out and was not let out. In the future, I would not use Juli to watch my dogs. I was thrilled to see the great reviews when I booked her however, the reviews did not match my experience. In Juli’s defense, he did offer to compensate $50 for the care that the dogs received. It isn’t about the money. I just expected the care that we agreed to. I hope that whoever chooses Juli in the future has a better experience like her reviews suggest.
Juli has been great to work with and would definitely use her again. She communicates and provides updates on how the dog and house are doing.
Juli is great she is very attentive and kind. Hoosier always comes back happy and tired (in the best way) from a great time!
Juli was very good with our pups. She took very good care of them and kept us updated with text and pictures. She cleaned everything up before leaving. Definitely will use her again.
Juli was fantastic! Good communicator, sent lots of photos and videos. My pup had a great time with her and her dogs!
