I'm a believer in positive reinforcement and using Fear Free accredited professionals. I'm passionate about starting starting every animal relationship with compassionate leadership as we grow together. I'm also very passionate about animal rescue and currently own a 4 yo Shih Tzu puppy mill rescue, so I understand the roller coaster of shelter and senior dogs. I have a place in my heart for senior dogs since I've had 6 dogs through their end of life. I maintain a calm and collected, but very loving relationship with all the dogs I meet! I always do slow, leashed, neutral territory introductions with dogs. I know the signs of a dog or cat who needs space or other tensions, and how to de-escalate situations. Redirecting with treats/toys/attention is a key tool for me to keep all dogs safe, and I understand cats' temperments to help them feel safer with someone new. Your dog will always be flat leashed with me outside of the home, as well as buckled or crated in the back if transported by car.
