My home is your dog's vacation home
Greyhounds and other sighthounds are an exception to my no large dog policy. Since I got my first whippet 20+ years ago, I've loved sighthounds. I get them and they get me. My first dog-sitting gig was a neighbor's Silken Windhound. Now, friends rely on me for regular walking and boarding their two Galgas. If you have two dogs you want to board together, ask me! It really depends on the dogs. Dogs that are not a good match for my dog: German Shepherds, herding breeds.

Juli went above and beyond taking care of our dog Sunshine. She is our first choice for a dog sitter whenever we travel. She is responsible, responsive to our dog's needs and great at problem solving. Sunshine gets to stay with a nice human and some well cared for canines in a beautiful home. When we go on vacation, Sunshine gets a real treat too!

I cannot overstate how incredible Juli was with our 13-year old beagle, Shane. He is an older dog and very attached to me (separation anxiety plus!) so we rarely leave him with anyone. From the very first “meet-n-greet,” Juli understood the assignment: she was calm, gentle, and reassuring - exactly what Shane needed. During his 3-night stay at Juli’s house, she sent us messages and photos to let us know how he was doing. By the second day, they were pals. When we arrived to pick Shane up he was relaxed and calm while still glad to see us. Juli had taken such good care of him and made him feel safe and happy. I highly and unreservedly recommend Juli to anyone wanting a warm, loving, and welcoming pet-sitter.

Juli is an outstanding sitter who radiates calm energy. She communicates regularly and takes terrific pics! Her greyhound, Gigi, offers my Galga lovely company on each visit. I am so fortunate to have found Juli, and my dog rates her five chew toys and fifty tail wags!

Schedule
I'm home all day except when I run simple errands (not more than 2-3 hours). I take my dog out for a hike every day and will take your dog with us. I am able to adjust the length of the walk to fit your dog's needs. If your dog prefers playing with other dogs in a fenced-in environment, I can do that too. You just have to let me know.

Safety, trust & environment
I'm responsible and pay attention to my surroundings to keep your dog safe and happy. I never let a dog off-leash unless we have established a bond and it is safe to do so and YOU HAVE AGREED IT'S OKAY. I make sure your dog will respond to my call beforehand. If they don't come to me, I keep them on leash. Their safety is my first concern. My home is quiet and calm. I have a large fenced-in yard that is dog friendly with a lawn and patio. Inside my home is dog safe. I have several dog beds so they can sleep wherever they like. My dog has her own bedroom with a bed with a view of the street. She loves company there. I can crate your dog at night or when I leave the house if you prefer and if you supply the crate.

A typical day
Hiking with my dog is my go-to activity. There are a number of parks near me where I can take your dog. We have dog (and people) friends your dog can meet, play, and walk with too. Or if they like to play fetch by themselves, we can do that too at a fenced-in park nearby. There's a park up the street from me I go through on neighborhood walks. Doing scent work and other training inside or in the yard if they like that kind of fun.

- Let me know about any behavior, quirks, or preferences your dog has, and if they have any food allergies or requirements. I prefer sighthounds of all kinds but am also good with smaller dogs. If your dog is aggressive, untrained, mouthy, or super alpha, I am not the sitter for you.
