I am a dog lover, who grew up with a family dog, had a cat for 15 years, and lost our beautiful mixed breed dog, Nellie, in 2022. We have been so happy to welcome our 3 year old Mini-Aussie, Daphne, who will be a staple friend to visiting pups. We live in a great neighborhood right near the long and coastal Greenbelt trail, where we love to take walks. We also run around at Willard Beach and dog friendly trails all around. I love to take care of animals, and dogs are the most rewarding pals. I am happy to brush and give lots of pats, scratches and cuddles. There are dog beds in every room and toys a-plenty. Regular walks will be taken (unless told otherwise) and we also have a dog run in the large back yard. I have a ten year old son who loves our Rover pals) If. good around a chill ten year old, your pup will most certainly have an extremely active, comfortable, and nurtured stay! I have a huge backyard, and a dog run with a 50 foot leash on it, if your dog is not on recall. It’s still allows it for a great game of fetch! That said we also can take walks to a variety of fun places, and we are right off of the Greenbelt.

Jules was absolutely outstanding! She had wonderful communication with us, and really took the time to get to know us, our dog Daisy, and Daisy’s routine. She is absolutely wonderful with animals and treats them like they’re her own! Daisy is already looking forward to the next time Jules comes back to stay with her!

I wish I had known how many dogs would be at Jules’ location. Meeting one of the other dogs didn’t go so well, but Jules, as an obviously skilled dog person, managed the situation well and kept me informed of how everything was going along the way. I would definitely call her again.
Jules was great with Maisie! We had lots of updates and knew she was in good hands.
Jules was very commutative with us and great with our dog Sheldon. He spent lots of time outside and was very well taken care of. I will absolutely book with Jules again
Jules was so great and we really appreciated how quickly available she was! Odin had buddies to hang out with over the weekend and seemed to be comfortable in her home, we knew he was loved on!

Schedule
I am very flexible most days, with dogs not being alone beyond three to *maybe four hours at a time. Beyond that, dogs will run the show! Walks on the Greenbelt, trips to the park, or the lighthouse, also romps in our long backyard!

We have an exceptionally large backyard (esp for South Portland). It is so much fun to play fetch. We have a dog run, and a path to an open field, whether leashed or good off leash, and very close to the Greenbelt for a nice long walk.

A typical day
I live on a fun road for dogs, as far as meeting other dogs, it is a very busy dog walking street. Always new smells or new friends to check out, and less than one block to the Greenbelt path, To go to bug light Park, or in the other direction, ocean front or the pond etc.

- Please let me know if your dog is OK with other dogs, I don’t commonly board more than two at a time, however I have some very familiar and well behaved regulars that I would never say no to hosting, so I simply ask for nonaggressive pets.
