Pet care experience

We Love big dogs as our guests!

We love big dogs! We don’t accept pups under 3 or dogs that need to be crated, but if you have a grown-up fur baby who enjoys space, freedom, and lots of love… we’re your people. Our dog experience runs deep: Our family trained a service dog, we were Golden Retriever breeders, we lived on a small farm, surrounded by all kinds of animals, and we spoil our grand‑puppy, Thunder, a now‑16‑year‑old English Setter with enough energy to be two dogs (he only visits occasionally!) He is uninterested in everything except squirls. They will get along fine I guarantee it (if he is here). We also rescued our little sidekick Shug, who thinks she’s a big dog and insists on joining us for canoeing, ATV rides, and camping. She is adorable—and she loves making new friends. Your dog will be spoiled here too! 🐶💕

Schedule

Neal currently work's PT and is home by 1:00 pm. I work full time 5 miles away. We do not walk your pup for fear that something could happen in the neighborhood (some people just do not adhere to leash laws around here). But we DO have a dog door, if your pup does not know how, we will teach them. They find it is the best thing in the world. Haven't had one fail yet. :)

A typical day

Fetch is popular around here in the backyard. Belly rubs are a must! They can get involved with a good team squirrel hunt too. We all go night night together and have lots of comfy places to rest/snuggle.

Our first goal is to make your family member happy. Often times they are stressed out due to a new environment and their family is not around making them confused. We typically do not take them for walks because of this as we do not know their potential triggers of other dogs in the neighborhood, our goal is to keep them safe, happy and healthy. But we DO play fetch in our big back yard or make sure they are getting enough exercise in our yard with us. We prefer to know where your pup likes to sleep, measurement of how much food and how often they are used to eating, any medications needed (we want this written down by you for reference). We literally stand there during feeding time so there are no squabbles between animals, and to be sure we are aware of their nutrition. We also watch them poop lol. We really do! You can tell a lot about your pet (constipation, Diarrhea, straining during BM etc.) by surveying the yard. It is best if there are no bones around and we ask @ how possessive they are about their toys etc. We watch and make sure there is peaceful interaction or we seperate them for some quite time and/or remove the toy. And mostly, lots of attention. If their favorite family member gives lots of hugs and kisses, that's what they will get from us. If they like to cuddle on the couch, even if they are over 100#, that is what we will do. I send at least 1-2 photos to you a day.
