I recently wrapped up a 21-year career in surgery and have transitioned into focused, full-time pet care. This work fits well into my daily routine and allows me to provide consistent, attentive care for the dogs and cats I host. Pet care is now my primary focus, and I structure my schedule around the animals in my care so I can maintain a stable, reliable environment for them while their owners are away.

My husband and I provide care in our smoke-free, pet-free, child-free home with a large, fully fenced yard and plenty of room to relax, explore, and play. Dogs are welcome on the sofa, but not in the bed. I follow your care instructions closely while maintaining the structure and routines that help dogs feel secure in my home.

Information Judy D. would like to know about your pet

Honest communication is important to me. Please share any behaviors or needs that may affect your dog's care, including reactivity, separation anxiety, resource guarding, escape tendencies, medical needs, or anything else that would help me care for your dog well. For all boarding and daycare stays, I'll also need your dog's current veterinary information as part of my standard intake process.

A typical day

Once your dog has settled in, I'll tailor their days around the routines and activities they already know and enjoy. Whether that means snuggling on the sofa, playing fetch with their toys in the yard, exploring the neighborhood, or simply relaxing nearby, my goal is to make their stay feel familiar, predictable, and comfortable. Please note: If your dog regularly requires more than two walks per day, an additional fee of $15 per dog applies for each additional daily walk.

Home Care for Stable Dogs

Pet care experience

👋🏼 Hi, I'm Judy. I provide structured, high-trust care for dogs who are behaviorally stable and have established routines. My goal is simple: to maintain your dog's normal rhythm so your time away feels as comfortable and consistent as possible. Since 2003, I've built trusted relationships with local pet families by providing attentive, consistent care. I partner with owners who value thoughtful communication, clear expectations, and a structured home environment where their dog can settle comfortably into a predictable routine. I believe thoughtful preparation leads to better care. Before every boarding stay, I use a structured intake process to learn about your dog's routines, behavior, and needs. This helps me determine whether my home is the right fit and allows me to provide the best possible experience for everyone involved. My home is best suited for dogs who are behaviorally stable and comfortable adapting to a structured home environment. Because every dog deserves to feel successful during their stay, I prioritize fit over availability.

Judy is a dream and our dog Winnie’s new best friend! She asked all of the right questions to get to know Winnie prior to our trip. Judy and our dog clicked immediately! It was so clear that Judy genuinely loves dogs and truly enjoyed being with her. You could tell she wasn't just providing great care; she was having fun, and our dog adored her. Winnie was extremely well cared for and we received detailed updates while we were away, which put our minds at ease. Winnie was not ready to leave when we came to pick her up. She was so at home with Judy and having so much fun. We’ve already booked her for our next trip and we know Winnie will be excited for her next vacation at Judy’s house. Recommend her 10 out of 10! 💗

Judy is the person I trust with my dog without hesitation, and I rest easy knowing he's in her hands. I've seen her light up at the sight of many dogs and cats, just from pictures, and quickly fall in love with them as if they were her own when she meets them. Her love for animals comes through in how she cares for them and in her attention to detail to ensure their special needs are met. She is always on time, follows instructions to a T, plays with my dog, and gets him the exercise he needs. She is considerate of other dogs before making introductions. She communicates proactively with updates, photos, and check-ins. I've used her for walks, drop-ins, and boarding, and every time has been great! I especially appreciate how she talks to my dog, greets him when she comes to get him, and says bye when she leaves. She'll often give him a hug before she goes. If you're looking for someone who will treat your pet like family — not just a responsibility — Judy is that person. I'd trust her with any animal, without hesitation.

Judy, or now Aunt Judy has been walking my dog, Loki for almost 9 months. She has followed a Google doc that I wrote for her well before she looked out for Loki to the tea to this very day. For example, just last week she made sure he had water and without her checking it like I mentioned in this Google doc, he would not have had water until I got home that day. She remains detail oriented, communicative, and flexible. All the way down to the small details, like remembering to switch out his leash when it rains to communicating well in advanced when she is unable to watch Loki due to personal travel or other needs, Judy is by far the most thorough dog walker and trustworthy person I could ever imagine to look after my own four legged dog baby. On top of that, she has also looked after my cat when I needed to travel and I’ve been gone for several days Judy all around is a fantastic dog walker, cat sitter, pet Aunt you could ever ask for. 100/10 would absolutely recommend.
