Pet care experience
Neighbors call me a dog whisperer!
I'm known as the dog whisperer by many of my neighbors because I often bring even the shyest dog out of their shell within moments. Dogs generally gravitate toward me on the street also. They appreciate my soft approach (I allow them to approach) and gentle demeanor. I've taken care of, lived with, and loved dogs since I was two years old, even taking naps with the guard dogs on my mom's childhood farm home. I've lived with both puppies and older dogs. I've administered medications, including I.V. and insulin, and I've also helped raise an eight-week old puppy to adulthood - the one in the photos, isn't he adorable? I have experience with large dogs, including walking 80 - 100 lb dogs safely. I (now) have experience with German Shephards and huskies. I have also taken care of special needs pets, including injections and post-surgery recovery. I'm a professional changing career, and have a law degree and another in economics, and a pretty bookish person. I walk several miles a day, and have a dog companion for the walks is always very nice. If you have any questions or doubts, please ask away!

Safety, trust & environment
Safety and trust are a top priority. I have a law degree (J.D.), so I'll be your cautious and conscientious pet sitter. As a person, I'm extremely neat and tidy, and very organized. I'm the sort of person who never forgets to call back and always arrives five minutes early.

Joyti did a wonderful job taking care of our two cats. She is our go-to sitter from now on! She communicated with us frequently and sent lots of pictures. She clearly has a knack for working with animals.
Great to meet You Joytika
Joyti was amazing and took great care of Ruthie while we aware. We received plenty of photo updates and left our apartment in immaculate condition. We hope she will be able to watch Ruthie the next time we are away!
Joytika is super nice and showed up on time — which in our case was 6:30AM! Our dog does sometimes act aggressively which we discussed. He doesn’t bite, but he does growl, especially when he’s eating. Joytika seems warm & caring and super responsible. She’s got great communication skills and kept us informed during her brief time with our pet. She did, however need to leave after our dog got aggressive with her. While we understand her need to cut her time short, we do wish she was better able to handle minor aggression. Apparently this was also an issue on the previous assignment. While no one wants to feel unsafe, our dog is small (20lbs) and missing most of his teeth.

Joytika stayed with my senior cat Taylor and did a great job of attending to her special needs, socializing with her, and looking after her and my apartment over two weeks during the holiday months. When I returned the apartment was just as I had left it, and Taylor was clearly happy with having a new friend and sitter while I was away. Would recommend booking Joytika!

Schedule
I'm a writer/consultant, and so my work is mostly on my laptop -- all I need an internet connection. Extremely flexible schedule, available pretty much around the clock, as long as I finish tasks.
