Vancouver, West End based. Dog walking limited to the west end. Open to house sitting on Vancouver Island and all over BC or Alberta. I moved from Toronto to Vancouver with my partner and my senior cat about a year ago. I am a currently taking a career break and studying in the evenings to become a social worker. Experienced pet parent including dogs, cats, rabbits. Experienced volunteer with a local humane society and a current parent to a senior cat, Foxy! Trustworthy and dependable, I will always confirm and communicate in a mutually agreed upon cadence. I am always punctual and flexible to my client’s needs. Experience with dogs of all sizes and temperaments (shih tzu, husky, border collie, shepherds, samoyed, doodles, etc!) —— Personal experiences: 🐶 DOGS: My family has a border collie named Yoyo, but they are in the suburbs in Ontario and I don’t get to see them as much as I like. My partners family has a Samoyed named Maya who is a rescue from South Korea. 🏡 This has given us experience with the toughest of cases with dogs - a hyperactive border collie and timid nervous rescue from abroad. 🙌 😻CATS: I am a cat parent. We have adopted our senior cat named Foxy who is the sweetest tabby after fostering her for 5 years and seeing her through many surgeries and health challenges. I have training with skittish and reactive cats from the Etobicoke humane society from when we were fosters. With experience raising puppies, taking care of kitties, loving bunnies and love going on walks. I treat animals with patience and kindness. Joyce was really great with Yasha on their first walk. She listens to instructions really well and adapted to Yasha's walking style quickly including keeping up the structured walk with Yasha. She handled his energy wonderfully and was observant and attentive to his walk.

I’ve judged Joyce to be a caring, kind, careful and detail oriented person which 100% translates to her dog sitting and walking skills. She dog sat for my Muffin a couple of times since I travel for work, and each time Muffin comes back happy and I get lots of photos (some quite funny). Definitely trustworthy and great communication.
