Joyce took care of my three cats for two weeks and I’m incredibly grateful. There was a heatwave and bad air quality during this time. But she made sure to feed and play with all my kitties. The reports were very fun and helpful. I’m so glad that they had her to look after them.

Joyce sent many lovely pictures each day and clearly took the time to socialize with our often-shy cat, rather than just taking care of food and litter and heading out. Would definitely have Joyce sit for us again!

We had a wonderful experience with Joyce! We were away for 2 weeks, and she came by every day to feed our two cats. She also spent time playing with one of them, while our other cat is very shy and not very social. Joyce respected each cat’s personality and made sure they were both well cared for. She sent us daily photo updates, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that our cats were happy and in great hands. Joyce did an amazing job, and we would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy cat sitter!

Our first booking with Joyce! She’s very sweet and communicative. She played lots with our 2 mo old kitten and sent plenty of pics. Will be booking with her for future drop ins!

Joyce did a great job checking in on our two cats, making sure they were fed and if they had any issues that she would report them to us. She also did well keeping their water clean, dishes washed, and overall was very punctual with her visits. Thank you so much again for your help!!!

Safety, trust & environment

DROP-IN VISITS: I mainly offer in-home sitting so your pet can stay relaxed in their familiar environment. I follow their usual routine — feeding, litter box cleaning, playtime, or simply keeping them company if they prefer quiet. I always treat each home and pet as if they were my own and will maintain the space just as I found it. WALKING: Please let me know of any habits your pet has (reactivity, allergies) or walking routes that they prefer. I can also walk them with my dog if they prefer to have a companion with them. DOG BOARDING OR DAY CARE: At home, I have a Shiba Inu who I've trained since he was a puppy. He is generally good at reading other dogs and will engage in play with them accordingly or will keep to himself. He does not have any territorial issues.

Pets

A typical day

For drop-in visits, I like to tailor each visit to the pet’s personality and routine. For cats, that usually means giving them fresh food and water, cleaning their litter box, and spending time playing or offering quiet companionship — whatever makes them happiest. For dogs, I focus on a good walk, playtime, and making sure they have everything they need before I leave. My goal is always to make them feel comfortable and cared for while keeping their routine as consistent as possible.

Feel free to ask me any questions or requests. Usually what I'd like to know is: 1. What is your pet's feeding schedule? 2. What they are allowed or not allowed to do? (Ex. Not allowed to enter certain rooms, counter surf) 3. What are their energy levels and playing styles? 4. Are they territorial? (Resource guarding) 5. Do they have separation anxiety? 6. Any allergies? If boarding, 1. Is your dog trained and housebroken? 2. How often do they need to be walked? 3. What commands do they know? 4. Are they reactive to other dogs or humans?
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
