DROP-IN VISITS: I mainly offer in-home sitting so your pet can stay relaxed in their familiar environment. I follow their usual routine — feeding, litter box cleaning, playtime, or simply keeping them company if they prefer quiet. I always treat each home and pet as if they were my own and will maintain the space just as I found it. WALKING: Please let me know of any habits your pet has (reactivity, allergies) or walking routes that they prefer. I can also walk them with my dog if they prefer to have a companion with them. DOG BOARDING OR DAY CARE: At home, I have a Shiba Inu who I've trained since he was a puppy. He is generally good at reading other dogs and will engage in play with them accordingly or will keep to himself. He does not have any territorial issues.

Information Joyce H. would like to know about your pet
Feel free to ask me any questions or requests. Usually what I'd like to know is: 1. What is your pet's feeding schedule? 2. What they are allowed or not allowed to do? (Ex. Not allowed to enter certain rooms, counter surf) 3. What are their energy levels and playing styles? 4. Are they territorial? (Resource guarding) 5. Do they have separation anxiety? 6. Any allergies? If boarding, 1. Is your dog trained and housebroken? 2. How often do they need to be walked? 3. What commands do they know? 4. Are they reactive to other dogs or humans?
A typical day
For drop-in visits, I like to tailor each visit to the pet’s personality and routine. For cats, that usually means giving them fresh food and water, cleaning their litter box, and spending time playing or offering quiet companionship — whatever makes them happiest. For dogs, I focus on a good walk, playtime, and making sure they have everything they need before I leave. My goal is always to make them feel comfortable and cared for while keeping their routine as consistent as possible.

Pet care experience
I grew up with cats and currently have a Shiba Inu named Swift, who got me interested in dog training. I started providing pet care services through Rover in 2021 and have experience with dog boarding, walks, and cat care — including feeding, playtime, grooming, and administering oral medication.
Reviews

Joyce was an amazing sitter for our cat Chloe! Chloe can be quite anxious and temperamental around new people, but Joyce was so sweet with her and made sure she had her basic necessities—including LOTS of play time. Joyce was very communicative and we felt at ease knowing Chloe was in her care during our time away!

Joyce is the absolute best!!! She is our go to for our one year old golden. She’s so reliable and provides us with the best pictures from her visits!
Joyce was great with my cat! Will definitely book again

Joyce is fantastic! She always gives me the best rover card descriptions of my 3 cats. She makes sure they are playing and well entertained. Our cats have very specific diets and eating locations. She accommodates and supports their needs super well. Joyce is my favorite sitter out of the 5 other sitter I have used in the past years on Rover. I definitely recommend!
