When caring for your pets at your home for drop-in or play visits, you set the boundaries for what is acceptable to you. Please note that I do not take new clients without first scheduling a meet and greet to make sure it’s a great match and that I will be able to meet your expectations of care.

Medical needs, vet info, any history of negative behavior towards strangers, your basic vocabulary in achieving what you expect from your pet. (Is it “go potty”, “make a poop”, or another term that gets the job done?) Little experience with giant breeds, but not intimidated.
A typical day
We will walk in your neighborhood, in parks, or on wooded trails if that’s available/acceptable to you. If you have a fenced-in yard we could play some ball off leash.

Pet care experience
I will care for your pets as if they were my own, with walks, playtime, mealtime visits, and/or potty breaks. After losing my two precious senior doggies in 2023 and 2024, I took a break from pet parenting, but we have recently opened our hearts and home to Xena, a 4-year old small pit bull who was abandoned by her former owners. My occasional Rover sitting as well as my full time job at an animal rescue organization gives me the joy of being with additional cats and dogs. I’m mature, organized, and responsible; respectful of what you want/expect in pet care. I’m comfortable with both large and small dogs, a good leash handler. With your instruction I am comfortable administering medications if necessary. For my cat parent clients, I will scoop or change litter, and provide playtime. I will adapt to your particular commands or key words to maintain consistency, as this helps both you and your pet.

Joyce is the best, always on time and keeps the pest areas very clean.
Everything thing went so smoothly. Our cat Manny was well taken care of and got play time for drop in visits. Joyce made sure the food area and litter were extra clean and sent lots of photos. She even shoveled our sidewalk when it snowed! Talk about going the extra mile. I would highly recommend Joyce.
