I’m a college who loves being active! Having the opportunity to be with dogs, getting more steps in, and getting paid is like hitting three birds with one stone. So that means I’m available every day for the summer!

I’ve had big and small dogs previously myself and I have also taken care of my friend’s dogs as well. I enjoy spending time with animals and playing with them! I’m currently in a apartment so boarding is not suitable for me or your dogs, however, drop-ins and walking are well within my schedule.

I have not had any experience with special needs dogs or cats so unfortunately I feel as though I am not qualified to take care of such pets.
A typical day
A good run in an active dog is always my favorite. A nice walk for some pets that can’t run. Throwing the ball and reinforcing simple commands is always fun to me no matter how many times I do it.

Pet care experience
Hello! I’m a college students who has always had a soft spot for animals. I’ve had 2 dogs of my own; Hunter was a black lab German shepherd mix and Bear was a Yorkshire mix. I took care of my friend’s dog, Harley who is a dachshund mix, when they needed help. Hunter had a couple of medical issues so I’m well versed in giving medication to dogs. Both of my dogs were super reactive so I also have experience in that area aswell. Harley is a senior dog so I make sure he gets what he needs adequately.

Joy has been an absolute game changer for us and our dog. From the very first meet and greet, it was obvious how comfortable and excited our pup was around them, and that trust has only grown. They do not just show up and clip on a leash; they take the time to learn our dog’s quirks, favorite routes, and little routines, and it shows in how happy and relaxed our dog is after every visit. We get thoughtful updates and the cutest photos after each walk or drop in, so we never have to wonder how things are going while we are away. Our dog comes home pleasantly tired, mentally stimulated, and clearly loved. Knowing Joy is with our pup gives us real peace of mind, and we honestly would not trust anyone else. If you are looking for someone who is reliable, caring, and treats your dog like their own, Joy is the person you want.
