I’m building my own business, so my schedule is very open — perfect for spending extra time with your pets! Whether it’s a walk in the middle of the day or a full week of pet sitting, I’ll be there with calm, consistent, loving care (and plenty of cuddles, if they’re into that).

Whether it’s a quick check-in, a walk, or a full house-sitting stay, my focus is always on creating a calm, safe, and loving environment for your pet. For check-ins and walks, I like to know your preferences — where your pet normally goes, how they like their leash handled, and what makes them feel most at ease. If I’m house sitting, the more I know about your pet’s usual routine, the better! I aim to keep things as familiar as possible so your pet feels secure and cared for — whether they’re missing you or living their best life while you’re away. I also respect your home as your sacred space. Even though I’m the guest, I move with care and mindfulness so both your pet and your space feel respected and peaceful. All house sits include all laundry (sheets/towels) done and vacuuming/cleaning of main space so all is ready for your return. Please note I do require a meeting with you and your pet before booking to ensure that everything is discussed and safe.

A typical day
When I house sit, I do my best to keep your pet’s routine as close to normal as possible — consistency helps them feel safe and relaxed. We start the day with whatever they’re used to — maybe a potty break, breakfast, or a slow morning cuddle session. Throughout the day, I follow their lead: whether they’re up for a walk to sniff all the neighborhood smells, want to play tug-of-war or fetch, or just lounge and nap with some light companionship, I’m there for it. I also make sure they’re mentally stimulated and emotionally supported — especially if they’re missing their favorite human. Evening routines stay familiar too: dinner, playtime, cuddles, or just quiet time, depending on what they love. And of course, lots of check-ins, pets, and reassurance throughout the day. And of course, I’m happy to send as many photos and updates as you’d like — so you can stay connected and feel at ease while you're away. 💛

I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 8 — from purebred Collies to rescue pups with trauma. I rescued my own dog, Shadow, in 2019, and helped her heal from deep fear to become the cuddliest companion. I’ve worked with everything from tiny terriers to Bernese Mountain Dogs, plus cats and even chickens! 🐔 I’m calm, patient, and intuitive — animals feel safe around me. I’m experienced with giving oral meds, and while I haven’t officially worked with senior pets, I feel confident doing so with clear instructions. I treat every animal like family, and I’m all about creating a stress-free, loving environment.

Joy was professional and kind with our dogs. I can tell our boys had a great time with her. She handled one of our dog's medication perfectly. The house was exactly as we left it, and the boys were clearly well cared for. Thank you again!
Joy was amazing. She was very communicative and followed all instructions perfectly. My shy boy Theo even warmed up to her really quickly. And, icing on the cake, she made sure everything was all clean and just as I had left it for my return.
We were new to town and needed a house and petsitter for the wknd.. We were limited due to being far out in the country. JOY from Rover said she was up for it and boy, we were sure happy to have met her! She was caring, thoughtful and completely capable and responsible with our property and fur babies. We left for our trip carefree and super pleased with the updates from Joy while we were away. I would highly recommend Joy to watch your pets and house. In fact, we will be requiring her service in the near future again!
