I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 8 — from purebred Collies to rescue pups with trauma. I rescued my own dog, Shadow, in 2019, and helped her heal from deep fear to become the cuddliest companion. I’ve worked with everything from tiny terriers to Bernese Mountain Dogs, plus cats and even chickens! 🐔 I’m calm, patient, and intuitive — animals feel safe around me. I’m experienced with giving oral meds, and while I haven’t officially worked with senior pets, I feel confident doing so with clear instructions. I treat every animal like family, and I’m all about creating a stress-free, loving environment.

Whether it’s a quick check-in, a walk, or a full house-sitting stay, my focus is always on creating a calm, safe, and loving environment for your pet. For check-ins and walks, I like to know your preferences — where your pet normally goes, how they like their leash handled, and what makes them feel most at ease. If I’m house sitting, the more I know about your pet’s usual routine, the better! I aim to keep things as familiar as possible so your pet feels secure and cared for — whether they’re missing you or living their best life while you’re away. I also respect your home as your sacred space. Even though I’m the guest, I move with care and mindfulness so both your pet and your space feel respected and peaceful. All house sits include all laundry (sheets/towels) done and vacuuming/cleaning of main space so all is ready for your return. Please note I do require a meeting with you and your pet before booking to ensure that everything is discussed and safe.

Joy has been a delight to work with. She was willing to live at our home far in the country for 3 weeks while she lovingly cared for our senior dog and 2 barn cats. She went beyond and was so helpful with the daily grind of living so remotely. My house was extremely cleaned and cared for, and she certainly was a joy to communicate with. I trusted her fully and wholeheartedly with all the responsibilities.. unfortunately my senior dog passed away unexpectedly during her stay, but she remained steadfast and was a source of comfort to us as we were so far away during that time.. Joy displays heart, knowledge and wisdom in every area of life and I would totally have her sit for our house and fur babies anytime! Thank you Joy!
Joy was professional and kind with our dogs. I can tell our boys had a great time with her. She handled one of our dog's medication perfectly. The house was exactly as we left it, and the boys were clearly well cared for. Thank you again!
Joy was amazing. She was very communicative and followed all instructions perfectly. My shy boy Theo even warmed up to her really quickly. And, icing on the cake, she made sure everything was all clean and just as I had left it for my return.
We were new to town and needed a house and petsitter for the wknd.. We were limited due to being far out in the country. JOY from Rover said she was up for it and boy, we were sure happy to have met her! She was caring, thoughtful and completely capable and responsible with our property and fur babies. We left for our trip carefree and super pleased with the updates from Joy while we were away. I would highly recommend Joy to watch your pets and house. In fact, we will be requiring her service in the near future again!
Our three sweet girls adore Joy! She has been a wonderful addition to our weekly routine! We are so grateful for her time and attention ☺️
Joy did an amazing job watching our fur babies while we were out of town! She sent daily pictures, kept us updated on how the were doing and even cleaned up before we came home! We will definitely request Joy for future trips!

Schedule
I’m building my own business, so my schedule is very open — perfect for spending extra time with your pets! Whether it’s a walk in the middle of the day or a full week of pet sitting, I’ll be there with calm, consistent, loving care (and plenty of cuddles, if they’re into that).
