Hello! For 15 years I owned a loving house/pet-sitting and dog walking business and I grew up on a ranch so have been caring for animals my entire life, also a cat lady at heart! I've also helped my sister with her dog training business. All of greater Portland areas inc. coast to Newport accepted! I'd love to hike or take gentle walks/play fetch with your pups (had two of my own for many years) and as a homeowner myself I'm very responsible & clean. Due to my limited availability, longer stays/multiple pets preferred!

I'm extremely cautious yet friendly with the animals I am caring for. I have a gentle nature that works well with nervous animals however I also believe in positive reinforcement for those pets that like to push the boundary. I am in tuned to dog & cat body language, have years of experience caring for other parts of a home long-term, and as a homeowner myself am very responsible.

Joy has been a caring dog owner for years. She started a pet care business called “Joyful Pet Care” in the Bay Area where she cared for all types of breeds. She also did some in home pet care and she is very responsible. I would definitely recommend Joy, especially if you have a dog who likes to go hiking. Joy is always exploring new trails and loves having a companion along with her.
Joy was an excellent pet and house sitter for us before she moved. Our two big dogs loved to run in the woods around us, and she took them on daily walks for two to three miles each day. Our dogs were safe and happy with her. She did everything we asked of her and more.
Joy is a wonderful person and especially great with animals. She is compassionate, intuitive, loving, and practical. I always knew my pets were in good capable hands with Joy.

Schedule
Longer stays preferred! I work remotely so am flexible on location from PDX to the coast. This means I have the ability to do midday or evening walks. I hike almost daily so either active or mellow elderly dogs are OK but I'm also a huge cat lover! I enjoy caring for multiple pets in one home with different needs.
