Owning my own dog and caring for her financially involved many things in my routine. This includes daily walks, socialization, and meal planning for her. Besides my pet, I frequently look after my mom’s two small dogs, my sister’s dog, and my friend’s golden doodle. This includes but is not limited to boarding in my home, checking in for walks or feedings, and just stopping by to give them some extra attention. I have a relatively low-yield schedule. I am a homebody and spend much time studying for medical school or taking care of my animal. This leaves me the flexibility to cater my schedule to the pets I am caring for. I do have a job, but I have a partner who works from home and helps me during the workday. I can work from 8-5, but my schedule is patient based. I am often home from work by 4, and I have a long lunch that I can take during the middle of the day (11 a.m.- 1 p.m.). I have full availability on the weekends.

I prefer to do the care in my own home. This offers me more time hands-on with the animal and less time driving back and forth. This also allows me to socialize with my friendly rescue dog. She loves other animals but has a hard time when we take on a long-term foster once they get adopted. Babysitting and boarding animals in my home offers my dog a short-term playmate. I cater my schedule to whatever best fits the pups' needs. If I have a senior dog with medicine, I wake up when the medicine needs to be given. I am very amenable to whatever best suits the pet. I love animals with my entire heart and put them first, above my own needs. Besides wake-up times, I have a fenced-in yard that the pet can use to potty whenever needed. I also live on a low-traffic loop of street. This makes it easy to go on walks with the pet if wanted. I can easily crate your dog if needed. I have a safe environment for pets along with many toys and healthy treats. I love learning new things or new ways to approach training and am willing to do whatever is best for the animal.

I typically like to fetch in the backyard and go on walks. My neighborhood is low traffic and has a lot of side streets that offer shade and woods to walk through. I also have treat games that some dogs like to use. I typically will do whatever the dog likes to do. Each dog is unique.

My compassion, healthcare experience, and dedication are what set me apart from others. I have had animals my entire life. My parents allowed me to adopt my first puppy at the age of 10. I trained and adored her for the entirety of her life. This helped me mature and encouraged me to take on more responsibilities. My puppy has since passed, and I miss her every day. She was on a strict medical regimen later on, and I took great pride and joy in taking care of her in her senior years. After her passing, I began working with rescues in the area to save dogs from being euthanized. I have also pet-sat for my family and friends in the surrounding areas. I have worked with small and large dogs with many different personalities. I understand dogs have different personalities and can cater my techniques and environment to what best fits the pet. I foster failed with one of my dogs. She has been a perfect addition to my family. She was a feral, shy post-partum dog who has since blossomed into a bubble of joy. I have had much pleasure working with her to help her become comfortable in her new environment. She has done so well, and it makes me incredibly happy. I honestly just enjoy spending time with animals and helping make them as happy as I can.
