Dog Walking & Home Visits
Experienced dog walker! Low rates while I build my client base and gather Rover reviews! I accept bookings in South Edmonton in Mill Woods, Ellerslie, and Summerside within a 10 minute driving range from my home. I am happy to take bookings outside of this radius, but additional fees for my travel time and gas will apply above my advertised Rover rates. I own a 120lb dog. I enjoy going for walks and am happy to walk dogs for others. I spent a summer walking dogs and doing home checks for a local dog walking company in Sherwood Park (who has since closed) and loved it! This gave me experience with dogs of all sizes, ages, and energy levels. It's a win when I can get my exercise in through dog walking! I have an up-to-date Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search. I grew up riding horses competitively and have high standards for care. Our animals are part of our family, and I will treat your dog just as I treat my own. I’m also happy to make home visits for pee breaks, feeding, and backyard play. You can expect detailed updates/summaries, and some great photos and videos of your pet with each visit/walk.

It is important to me that your animals feel comfortable with me. They all have such different personalities! Some are very outgoing, and others are more timid and take some time to warm up to new people. The more information you can provide me with about your pet and their likes/dislikes, the better. Maybe Fido enjoys shoulder scratches, but dislikes having his/her face touched. Maybe Fido is young and you'd like me to practice handling his/her paws. I'm happy to get to know each animal's individual personality and cater to that. If you're having me come in to spend time with/walk your pet(s), you're a busy person! Please understand that regarding your home, I am not there to judge the level of cleanliness! Don't worry about "tidying up before the dog walker/cat sitter comes." :)

We had such a wonderful experience having her take care of our two cats while we were away on a family vacation. From the very beginning, she was an excellent communicator, attentive to our needs, and incredibly respectful of our home and privacy. What stood out the most was how careful, gentle, and genuinely caring she was with our pets. She took the time to understand their individual needs and made sure they were comfortable, safe, and well cared for while we were away. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. She was reliable, thoughtful, and clearly someone who truly loves animals. We came home knowing our cats had been treated with the same care and attention we would give them ourselves. Josselyn was amazing with my pups! She was very easy to work with, responded quickly, and was super lovely with my dogs. She managed my male dog (which can be a troublemaker sometimes) really well, and I can tell they enjoyed their walk with Josselyn. She also provided several videos and pictures. Overall it was a fantastic experience and would totally recommend her!
Josselyn has been an amazing pet sitter for my mini dachshund Rain, doing check ins 3-4 times a week for the last month. She's very kind and considerate when in your home, and especially when taking care of your pet! Her notes are super detailed, and you can tell she takes great enjoyment out of spending time with animals! Would strongly reccomend her :) Thanks Josselyn!

Schedule
My schedule is flexible and varies! I do not currently work a set schedule, so my availability is quite open. If you are interested in a date/time not indicated on my calendar, please feel free to message! Rover only offers the option for me to be available or unavailable for a full day. I can’t block off a window of time. So if you can be flexible, usually I can, too!

- Please let me know if your pets have any quirks/likes/dislikes/special needs/behaviours. Please specify any training/behavioural commands that I should know, or that you're working on. Does your pet require any specialized care? What is the best method of entry into your home? Is your pet loose in your home, or will I find them crated? Do you have any specific requests for our walk/visit? Please ensure the collar/harness and leash are somewhere easy to find, as well as food if feeding is required.
